How do I submit a website to Google Search?

After doing on-page SEO, your job is to index the website on Google. After creating a website, you will not find that website even if you search Google with the URL. The first thing you need to do is submit your website to the Google Search Console and verify that it is your website. And after creating a website, this is the first and foremost task for SEO.

To submit your website to Google Search Console, first follow this link.

Login and log in with your Google account. After logging in, click on Add new property from the menu on the left. If you can't find the menu, you can get help from this link.

After going to Add new property, click on the Continue button below with your site address in the URL Prefix box. You will then see that after adding your website you will be asked to verify the site. Download the HTML file to verify the site and upload it to your file manager's root directory (public_html), you're done! This time, if you click on the Verify button, you will see that your website will be verified.

Add your website (property) to the search console. Now all you have to do is submit your sitemap to Google.

How do I submit a Sitemap to Google Search Console?

A sitemap is a list of all the pages, posts, categories of your site in the form of an XML file. Through this file, Google will be able to know what is on your website and what you need to index in Google or any other search engine. And that is why it is so important to add the sitemap, without it you will not be able to start SEO activities.

Now the question is where to find the XML sitemap for your site? For this, you can visit this site. If you go here and start with the address of your website, you will get your sitemap. Now download the sitemap and upload it to the root directory of your file manager. Now add the address of this site map to your search console from this link.

But the problem is that if you add a sitemap in this way, then when you add a new post, category, or page to your site, you will have to edit the old sitemap with a link to the newly added post/page, which is very tedious and time-consuming!

So if you want your sitemap to be updated automatically whenever you add something new to the site, you need to use plugins/tools. If you want, you can use both free and paid methods. So for sitemap, you need to use SEO plugin and the two most popular and effective plugins of the present time are:

Yoast SEO
Rank math SEO

If you want to use free tools then I suggest you use Rank math tools. Because here you will get many more features for free which you have to buy the pro version if you want to get it on Yoast. And you can use either one if you use paid tools, in which case the two are almost equal. (Rank math plugin seems easier and more effective to me after using two plugins myself and I am also using the free version of Rank math on my website.) And yes, another important thing is to never crack any paid plugin or theme on your website. , Do not use Noold or GPL version. Doing so will do more harm than good to your website.

How to do URL inspection?

When we start a new website, its domain rating is also very low, which is why Google often has trouble indexing. Although, most of the time it becomes an automatic index for the old site the new site has to be indexed manually.

All you have to do is go to your search console and click on search from there and search with the link of your new page or post. If the result says that the page or post has been indexed then you don't have to do anything else and if it says that it is not indexed then you have to index it by clicking on Request Indexing text.
