Redefining SIZ Community Purpose | Educating through Tutorials and Valuable Courses

Steem Infinity Zone (SIZ) was established 3 months ago with the vision "To Educate and Empower People without Limits" on Steem Blockchain. We have experts from different fields of study who are sharing valuable content in the community. We really appreciate all the active members who have made SIZ a rapidly growing community. We have reached 1800 members in this short span of time and grow the official account @siz-official Steem Power to 41,000 and we are extremely thankful to our delegators.

Redefining Community Purpose

The name of the community suggests that there are no limits and boundaries on the type of content people can share in different categories. We have allowed many categories at the start of the community that has given the impression to people that they can share almost anything. The true purpose and objective of the community are to share valuable contents that will give people a chance to learn skills and get valuable knowledge.

We are redefining the community purpose and objective through this post so that people will know what they can get in this community. At the same time, we will be providing guidelines and instructions on what type of content you can post in the community.

“Educating through Tutorials and Valuable Courses”

We understand that the redefined purpose will raise questions in the minds of members about the content they can post in the community. The good news is that we are providing clear guidelines are instructions on the content you can share as well as the content you should avoid sharing in the community. This will help the community to keep the focus on the Vision "To Educate and Empower People without Limits" which can be done through Skills Tutorials and offering Valuable courses.

We expect that members will understand the community purpose and objective through the below-mentioned guidelines. We are confident that experts from different fields will share great content that will help many to learn valuable skills and knowledge. What we really want is that any new person visiting the community for the first time should get the impression that he will be learning specific skills in SIZ.

Content Members Can Share in SIZ

Although people can share content in different categories yet it has to be refined because it can result in posting content without any results. This will make the new people confuse about what they can get from the community. So, we will be focussing on 2 main things in SIZ community that members can share.

1 - Skill Tutorials

The core objective of SIZ community is to make sure people will learn some real skills. Members can share skill-based tutorials in their field of expertise.

The tutorials should be "How To" category where you should be posting the step-by-step guide. They should be sharing their personal experience on the specific skills so they can answer any question other people have about these tutorials.

You can post these tutorials in Technology and DIY (Do-it-Yourself) categories that will help people learn skills. If you want to post about any other categories, you should ask for permission from the community management.

Your post title must include "SIZ Tutorials" at the start and then your topic.

• SIZ Tutorials | How to Add Subtitles to Videos in Filmora
• You must use #siztutorials #steemexclusive and #learnwithsteem tags along with other tags you want to add.

2 - Demand Driven Short Courses

We understand that many people will not be able to write tutorials because they don't have the expertise in the above categories. To cater this issue, we are introducing the concept of demand driven short courses.

The concept of demand driven courses is very simple. In these short courses, members can share a specific course that has value and demand in the market in which they have expertise. This will help many people learn about a specific thing in an organized way.

The process to post a course is very simple where SIZ management will invite applications from members who want to start the short course (4 weeks).

The detailed requirement will be shared in the Application post where members will be required to submit an outline of their short course content that they will cover in 4 weeks.

SIZ management will review the applications and approve the courses that will be adding value to the community. After approval from SIZ management, you can start posting your courses with 1 lecture per week.

Your post title must include "SIZ Approved Course" at the start and then your topic.

• You must use #sizcourses #steemexclusive and #learnwithsteem tags along with other tags you want to add.

Content Members Shound Not Share in SIZ

There are few content types your should not post in SIZ. We are doing this because many members started posting things that were overlapping with other communities and that content should be posted in those specific communities. We are sharing few of the content categories you should avoid posting in SIZ

1 - No Cooking Recipes

We already have Steem Foods and Steem Iron Chef communities where cooking recipes are shared. So, you should be posting your recipes in these two communities.

2 - No Diary Game Posts

We are not stopping you from posting diary game posts in SIZ. You can post a random diary but these posts will deviate the members from the real purpose of the community. So, we suggest posting diary games in other communities where most of the members are posting similar posts.

3 - No Review Posts

You should not be posting reviews because we already have Writing and Reviews community where you can do such posts.

5 - No Crypto Related Posts

We already have official Steemit Crypto Academy and you should be doing crypto-related stuff in that community.

5 - No Random Posts

We have seen few people are just posting on random topics and you should not do this from now. You should only posts tutorials or start demand driven short courses.

Steem Infinity Zone is established on a solid vision and we have just refined our community purpose and objective so that everyone has a clear mind about things they should be doing in the community. It will eventually help the community to be more useful for all the members to learn some great skills and courses.

We are thankful to all our members who have supported SIZ through their content and hope that they will understand this redefined purpose and will produce great content to make the community more useful. We are hoping for a response from @steemitblog team and @steemcurator about our redefined community purpose that is another effort to make community better and add value to steem ecosystem.
