It's a blessing!

Three so far this season. Deer hunting was a new skill for me to learn when we moved to the Ozarks. For the past few years I've been learning and developing this skill. We are permitted to harvest six deer in the state, and five of those in the zone I live in, so I try to make the most of it every year. This season I've managed to harvest three.

If you're a hunter, you may be wondering about my shot placement on this one. It came in running, and paused momentarily, partially being blocked by a tree. I took the shot I had and dropped it. I didn't want it to take off running again and miss my opportunity. I sure do love a family full of willing children eager to help out too. Here's a photo of part of the team ready to get to work.
