THE OBJECT OF THE GOSPEL

If the object of education is to get rid of ignorance and the object of medicine is to get rid of disease, then the object of Christianity is to get rid of sin.

The Gospel lays its finger on moral evil and spiritual decay as the real mischief and misery of the world, while socialists canvass support to get rid of poverty.

But compared with the supreme curse of human selfishness, nothing else seriously matters as the proposition of the Gospel to cure the inward malady of the soul.

Herein, it stands apart from other religions and objectives.

The prayer of the Buddhist is, “Deliver us from existence!” But that of the Christian is, “Deliver us from evil!”

Sin is the root problem of man. The Gospel is the cure. Receive Jesus now!
