New sketch/idea for possible project

I like the concept but I always have a hard time replicating my ideas.

I want to make a painting with these characters but I would want to use a large canvas and I'm trying not to spend money on art supplies right now.

What do you think about this sketch? Should I try to recreate this into a more complete art piece?
