Hello dear community,
Another highlight from a series of the best locations that I have already visited. The Big Apple, New York, the city that never sleeps. Here, too, there is such a wealth of sights that one visit alone is not nearly enough to see everything. For this reason I have been there several times and always find new things to discover. For anyone coming to New York for the first time, here are the highlights that everyone should see on their first tour.

A visit to the Statue of Liberty is an absolute must for every visitor to New York and is an impressive experience that gives you a feeling of awe and freedom. The statue stands majestically on Liberty Island in Upper New York Bay, near Manhattan, New York City. The visit often begins with a short ferry ride from Battery Park or Liberty State Park. The ride offers breathtaking views of the New York City skyline and surrounding waters.

Once you reach Liberty Island, you will be greeted by the imposing appearance of the Statue of Liberty. The statue itself stands over 300 feet tall and carries a torch in its right hand and a plaque inscribed with the inscription "July IV MDCCLXXVI" (July 4, 1776), the date of the United States Declaration of Independence. Visitors can admire the statue from the outside and take photos, but for an even more immersive experience, they can also purchase tickets to climb into the crown or base of the statue. The climb often requires reservations in advance as spaces are limited.
The view from the crown or base is breathtaking. You can admire the New York City skyline, the surrounding islands and the vastness of the ocean. It is also an opportunity to learn more about the history and significance of the Statue of Liberty, a symbol of freedom and democracy that welcomed millions of immigrants when they came to the United States.

Overall, a visit to the Statue of Liberty is a moving experience that teaches you the meaning of freedom and unity and leaves a deep impression, at least on me, so that I have to go back every time I'm there.

A visit to Times Square is also a great experience. As soon as you enter the famous Manhattan intersection, you are enveloped in a kaleidoscopic whirlwind of lights, colors and crowds. The glowing billboards that flank the skyscrapers create a surreal backdrop that bathes the square in a radiant sea of brightness day and night. The advertising signs constantly flash and change their messages as the streams of people sway tirelessly through the streets.

The soundscape is equally impressive: the roar of traffic, the laughter of tourists, street musicians performing their skills, and the omnipresent sound of horns and conversations all mix together to create a pulsating soundtrack of the city. In the midst of this visual and acoustic symphony you can feel the energy and pace of New York. People from different backgrounds and cultures share this space, each in their own way fascinated by the magnetic pull of Times Square. Whether strolling the bustling streets, dining at one of the many restaurants, browsing the shops, or simply watching the world go by, a visit to Times Square is an unforgettable journey into the beating heart of New York City.

A visit to Central Park is a unique experience that takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the city and into an oasis of nature and peace. The green lung of New York City, Central Park spans over 340 acres and offers a variety of attractions and activities for visitors of all ages. As soon as you enter the park, you immediately feel surrounded by the lush vegetation, majestic trees and expansive lawns. Along the trails you can meet people of all backgrounds and ages walking, jogging, cycling or just enjoying the atmosphere.

The various ponds and lakes in the park provide an idyllic setting for boating in the summer or ice skating in the winter. Along the Bethesda Terrace and Fountain, one of the park's most iconic landmarks, visitors often gather to enjoy musical performances by street performers or simply to absorb the atmosphere. Cultural institutions such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the American Museum of Natural History border Central Park, providing a welcome respite for those seeking a cultural experience.

For those who love nature, Central Park offers a wealth of opportunities for bird watching and nature exploration. The numerous hiking trails and hidden corners offer an escape from the urban hustle and bustle and invite you to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature.
Finally, Central Park's many playgrounds, sports fields, and picnic areas provide opportunities for families and friends to spend time outdoors together and create memories.
A visit to Central Park is therefore not only an opportunity to be close to nature, but also a way to experience the energy and diversity of New York City in a unique setting. It's always a great opportunity for me to reflect and recharge my batteries.

The Brooklyn Bridge, one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States, connects Manhattan to Brooklyn across the East River. As you enter the bridge from Manhattan, you are impressed by the imposing size of the massive stone towers that form the entrance gate to the bridge. These towers rise majestically into the sky and serve as a symbol of 19th century engineering. As you walk across the bridge, you can feel the pulse of the city as pedestrians, joggers and cyclists alike use the wide sidewalks. The traffic of cars and subways beneath you creates a constant hum that reflects the energy of the metropolis.

The view from the bridge is breathtaking. On one side, the impressive Manhattan skyline stretches with skyscrapers soaring into the sky, and on the other side there are panoramic views of the Brooklyn coastline with historic neighborhoods and picturesque parks. While walking across the bridge, one can also admire the impressive architecture and the intricate details used in its construction. The characteristic steel cables that stretch across the sky and the delicate lattice structures of the walkways give the bridge a timeless elegance. A visit to the Brooklyn Bridge is not just a walk across an iconic bridge, but also a journey through the history and heart of New York City. It is an experience that attracts visitors from all over the world and leaves unforgettable memories.

Also very nice: Grand Central Station. As soon as you enter Grand Central Station, you are immediately struck by the impressive architecture and hustle and bustle. The majestic arches and elegant lighting give the space a timeless beauty, while the background noise of rattling trains, chatting passers-by and the echo of footsteps creates a lively atmosphere. The large hall is literally pulsating with activity. Travelers rush through the halls looking for their train tracks, while others linger in the numerous shops and restaurants along the corridors. The clatter of rolling suitcases mixes with the hum of voices in different languages, and everywhere there is an atmosphere of movement and progress.

The famous display board, which towers high above the main station, fascinates with its illuminated numbers and letters that display departure times and platform information. It is an ever-changing kaleidoscope of destinations and departure times, reflecting the station's diversity of destinations and connections. Despite the hectic hustle and bustle, Grand Central Station also exudes a certain calm. The imposing columns and magnificent ceiling paintings are reminiscent of a bygone era of travel, when train travel was still an elegant adventure. Even in the midst of the hustle and bustle, you can find quiet corners where you can sit back and watch the hustle and bustle.

A visit to Grand Central Station is not only a journey through space and time, but also an encounter with the vibrant energy of one of the world's busiest transportation hubs. It is a place where past and present merge in a fascinating way and every visitor can take home a touch of this unique charm.

These were some of the must-see sights in New York, but by no means all of them. So if you have the time and the desire, just go and have a look for yourself.

Many greetings and see you soon
