Magische Theater in Hamburg Deu/Eng

Hallo liebe Community,
ein ganz besonderes Highlight unseres Hamburg Trips war der Besuch des Harry Potter Theaterstücks am Valentinstag. Ein paar von uns besuchten das Musical König der Löwen aber da ich dieses schon kannte, schloss ich mich dem Besuch des Theaterstücks an. Und ich kann jetzt schon sagen, ich wurde nicht enttäuscht.

Wie bereits bei unserem Besuch der Harry Potter Studios in London im letzten Jahr taucht man direkt in die Harry Potter Welt ein, wenn man am Theater ankommt. Schon von außen ist alles im Harry Potter Style angelegt und die riesige LED Beleuchtung taucht alles in goldenes Licht. Nachdem man recht zügig seine Jacken an der Garderobe abgegben hat, betritt man den Vorraum des Theaters und sofort fühlt man sich durch die hunderte schwebenden Lichter an den großen Saal in Hogwarts erinnert. Die Wände der Lobby sind geziert mit unzähligen Patronusgemälden und überall gibt es etwas zu entdecken.

Natürlich gibt es auch einige Merchandising Stände an denen man sich mit Griffindor Schals, Slytherin T-Shirts oder Zauberstäben eindecken kann. Zu recht üppigen Preisen versteht sich. Auch für das leibliche Wohl ist mehr als gesorgt. Und auch hier ist alles auf Harry Potter abgestimmt. Es gibt Butterbier, magisches Popcorn und die alt bekannten Schokofrösche und magische Bohnen. Selbstverständlich kann man auch einfach nur ganz normal einen Sekt, Bier oder Coca Cola bestellen. macht auch Sinn, wenn ein 0,33 L Butterbier 9,50 € kostet.

Drinnen im Theaterraum geht es sehr angenehm weiter. Wohl temperiert sucht man sich seine Sitzreihe. Wir hatten Plätze recht weit vorne und die Sicht auf die Bühne war perfekt. Es gab auch jeweils eine Sitzreihe für die einzelnen Häuser von Hogwarts Griffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw und Hufflepuff. Extra für die Hardcore Fans. Was mir besonders gefallen hat, war die Sitzreihe 9 3/4 die an das Bahnhof Gleis auf dem Bahnhof Kings Cross erinnern soll. Coole Idee.

Auf der Bühne zogen immer wieder Nebelschwaden vorüber, was wirklich tolle Bilder ergab und die Vorfreude noch weiter steigerte. Und dann ging es auch schon los. Klar, während der Aufführung waren Handys natürlich unter Androhung des Cruciatus Fluchs strengstens verboten, so dass ich Euch hier leider keine Bilder bieten kann. Aber das Theaterstück war herrlich und ich kann nur jedem Harry Potter fan oder denen die es werden wollen empfehlen dort mal einen Besuch einzuplanen. Die Schauspieler waren hervorragend und man bekommt auch einige Tricks auf der Bühne zu sehen, die eine verdutzt zurück lassen mit der Frage: Wie haben die das jetzt gemacht?

Aber seid gewarnt: Man braucht schon etwas Sitzfleisch für die Aufführung. Erst nach 2 Stunden ist eine Pause von 15 Minuten und dann geht es nochmals 1 1/2 Stunden weiter. Wir kamen noch in den Genuss einer Bühnenpanne, bei der eine Falltür nicht funktionierte, so dass nochmals 15 Minuten unterbrochen werden musste. Insgesamt dauerte die Vorstellung bei uns also knapp 4 Stunden. Aber wie gesagt, es hat sich gelohnt und wir hatten danach in einer schönen Bar vieles zu erzählen.

A very special highlight of our Hamburg trip was the visit to the Harry Potter play on Valentine's Day. A few of us went to see the musical The Lion King but since I already knew that one, I joined in seeing the play. And I can already say that I was not disappointed.

As with our visit to the Harry Potter Studios in London last year, you immediately immerse yourself in the Harry Potter world when you arrive at the theater. From the outside, everything is designed in Harry Potter style and the huge LED lighting bathes everything in golden light. After you have quickly handed your jackets over to the cloakroom, you enter the anteroom of the theater and are immediately reminded of the great hall at Hogwarts by the hundreds of floating lights. The walls of the lobby are decorated with countless patronus paintings and there is something to discover everywhere.

Of course there are also some merchandising stands where you can stock up on Griffindor scarves, Slytherin T-shirts or magic wands. At quite lavish prices, of course. Your physical well-being is also more than taken care of. And here too, everything is tailored to Harry Potter. There's butterbeer, magic popcorn and the well-known chocolate frogs and magic beans. Of course, you can also just order champagne, beer or Coca Cola as normal. Also makes sense when a 0.33 L Butterbeer costs €9.50.

Things continue very pleasantly inside the theater room. You look for your row of seats at a comfortable temperature. We had seats near the front and the view of the stage was perfect. There was also a row of seats for each of Hogwarts' houses, Griffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. Especially for the hardcore fans. What I particularly liked was the 9 3/4 row of seats, which is supposed to be reminiscent of the train track at Kings Cross station. Cool idea.

Clouds of fog kept drifting past on the stage, which created really great images and increased the anticipation even further. And then it began. Of course, cell phones were strictly forbidden during the performance under threat of the Cruciatus curse, so unfortunately I can't offer you any pictures here. But the play was wonderful and I can only recommend every Harry Potter fan or those who want to become one to plan a visit there. The actors were excellent and you also get to see some tricks on stage that leave you puzzled and asking yourself: How did they do that?

But be warned: you do need a bit of a seat for the performance. Only after 2 hours is there a break of 15 minutes and then it continues for another 1 1/2 hours. We were also treated to a stage breakdown where a trap door didn't work, so we had to stop for another 15 minutes. In total, the performance lasted almost 4 hours for us. But as I said, it was worth it and we had a lot to talk about in a nice bar afterwards.
