*Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. Hello Smart, how is everyone doing? I hope you all are well. By the grace of Allah, I am doing very well. Today I will share with you all my Eid-ul-Adha day, so let's not waste any more time and get started. *
As usual, after performing the Fajr prayer, we went to visit the graves. Since today is a special day for them, all the elders went to the crowded place for visiting the graves. I couldn’t go because I was a bit unwell. After the Fajr prayer, I took a little rest, then took a bath, wore new clothes, applied fragrance, and headed towards the Eidgah ground. The weather today was very beautiful. Compared to other days, today’s weather was really nice. Some of my friends’ areas were raining, but by the mercy of Allah, it was not raining in our area. Allah had gifted us with a beautiful weather.
After that, we slowly made our way to the Eidgah ground, and when we got there, I saw some people collecting money in front of the gate. This money is for the Eidgah fund. Also, next to the Eidgah ground, there is a graveyard, and money is being collected there for the fund as well. Everyone individually donates money for the graveyard and the Eidgah fund. Since everyone is usually busy with their work, we don’t really get to see them all that much, so money isn’t collected in person that often. That’s why all the money for them is collected in advance for a whole year. Everyone donates money to these causes spontaneously.

After that, we made some donations and went inside the Eidgah ground. There, the preachers were delivering sermons, explaining the various Sunnah aspects and issues of sacrifice to the kids. We also sat down and listened to them attentively. And then, my brothers and I got captured in a frame. It’s the first time in my life that I took a picture with my brother. I’ve never taken a selfie with him before, and somehow, I feel a bit shy taking pictures with him. Since I bought a new phone yesterday, I overcame the shyness and got captured in a frame with him on my new phone.৷
After the sermon, we stood up for prayer. Something unexpected and funny happened during the prayer. I had taken my cousin's son to the field — it was his first time ever going to a field in the country, he had never been taken before. But on the way there, he fell asleep on the road, so when we got to the field, during the prayer, I laid him down on the prayer mat. But here's the strange thing from Allah: he slept through the entire sermon, but the moment we stood for prayer and raised our hands after the Takbeer, he woke up suddenly and started yelling at me.

After that, we had to return home after the Eid prayer. On the way, there were some shops set up in the middle of the street, selling some toys, food, and items for children. We took a little time to look around those places.

After finishing these little visits, we headed back home again. I got ready to sacrifice an animal for Qurbani. Eid al-Adha means the day of sacrifice, and Qurbani doesn’t just mean slaughtering an animal; Qurbani also means sacrificing your inner 'ego.'
'True happiness lies in sacrifice. Share meat, not hatred. Eid al-Adha Mubarak. May Allah accept all your sacrifices.'
*O Allah, grant us the spirit of sacrifice like Ibrahim (AS). Grant us the obedience like Ismail (AS).
And accept the sacrifices of all of us. Ameen.

On this day, we, rich and poor friends alike, share all our sorrows, because at the end of the day we are all each other's brothers, we all share each other's meat to eat.
