The Diary Game: How I Enjoyed A Calm And Joyful Christmas (25/12/25)

Merry Christmas, Steemians! 🎄

I wish you all a festive and beautiful Christmas filled with love, laughter, and delicious food. I hope your day was wonderful because mine was peaceful, sweet, and wonderfully relaxing just how I like it and wanted it to be.

On this Christmas day, food was definitely part of the celebration 😄, but I aimed to keep it simple. I woke up feeling happy, prayed with my family, played some lovely music, and we danced into the morning. After breakfast, it was time to prepare our Christmas lunch.

To avoid any stress, I decided on fried rice quick, tasty, and satisfying. With my mum’s assistance, the cooking went smoothly. We steamed and fried the chicken, chopped the veggies in advance, and before we knew it, the meal was ready. I also made a fresh salad to accompany it, and I must say, everything turned out perfectly.

After our meal, it was all about relaxation 😌. I watched TV with my family called friends and family, and it felt great to reconnect and share the joy of the season with them.

Later in the evening, my husband and I took a walk in the neighborhood, where we stumbled upon an amazing roasted plantain and fish spot it was too tempting to resist! We purchased some to take home, and even though we had planned to have banku and okro soup for dinner, we joyfully changed our plans.

And honestly? No regrets! The roasted plantain and fish were absolutely scrumptious and made the day even more memorable.

We ended the night with movies and moments of gratitude. I can confidently say this has been one of my favorite Christmas celebrations calm, joyful, and completely stress-free. I hope you all had a wonderful time with your loved ones. Stay blessed and enjoy the season of ❤️
