Cake from King Bakery

On Monday, I visited King Bakery in the middle of city center. I parked my scooter outside this famous local bakery and stepping into the bakery in this busy market where the air smelled of vanilla and fresh buttercream, I asked a man sitting at the first counter about my quest for a cake.

The salesman, a middle-aged man with a smile, directed me to another one who was in charge of taking orders.

He asked me, "Sir, what's the occasion? Birthday? Anniversary?"

Of course it's one of my loved ones birthday, so I asked him about a 3 kg cake. He showed me the display case gleaming with temptations.

He tried to convince me with his convincing voice, "All our cakes are as per your order and design, vanilla, strawberry and chocolate sponge soaked in cherry syrup, topped with cream and cherries.

I looked at the cakes. He wanted me to taste one, but I asked if the cakes are eggless. He said they make all their cakes eggless.

I resisted the temptation. His passion was infectious, and prices were reasonable at ₹500-₹1500 per kg (80-225 Steem) as per ingredients. I told him that I will place the order after consulting my wife, and I left already craving the celebration yesterday on Wednesday Jan 7th.
