Healthy Chinese Style Bitter Gourd Fry - A Special Diet Recipe
Assalamu Alaikum, Steemian friends! How are you all? Alhamdulillah, I am doing well. Today, I am not sharing a challenge, but a healthy diet recipe that I made out of my personal interest. It is called "Chinese Style Bitter Gourd Fry."
While walking outside this evening, I saw a street vendor selling fresh bitter gourds on a van. I bought 500 grams for my home. On my way back, I thought of making a different kind of recipe instead of the traditional fry. Ingredients:
To make your cooking easy, the necessary ingredients are listed below:

| Garlic | 1 Whole |
| Soy Sauce | 2 Tablespoons |
| Black Pepper Powder | 1 Tablespoon |
| Salt | 1 Tablespoon (as per taste) |
| Oil | 2 Tablespoons |
Preparation Steps:
Step 1: Cutting & Cleaning
First, peel the onion and garlic. Wash the two bitter gourds properly so there is no dirt. Then, cut the bitter gourds in half and remove the seeds from the inside. After that, slice them into small pieces. Cut the whole onion into four parts. Finally, whisk the egg in a small bowl with a little salt and keep it ready.

Step 2: Blanching (Boiling)
Put a clean pot on the stove and add water. When the water starts boiling, add the sliced bitter gourds. Boil them for about 1-2 minutes. This helps to remove the extra bitterness. Then, drain the hot water and rinse the bitter gourds with cold water. Make sure to drain all the water well.
Step 3: Main Cooking
Place a clean pan on the stove. Once the pan is hot, add the oil. Then, add the onion and garlic pieces. After that, add the boiled bitter gourds. Now, pour in the whisked egg and stir lightly to mix it well. Finally, add the soy sauce, black pepper powder, and salt. Stir everything on high heat for 2 minutes and then take it off the stove.
Final Decoration:
For serving, take a clean plate and pour the fry onto it. For decoration, I have used tomato slices and two whole coriander leaves. This is just to make the dish look more beautiful and attractive.
