Season's greetings! May we all end this year stronger and better in Jesus Christ's name. AMEN21X.

Today I was decisive in my schedules. On top of my list was the Uyo Presbytery meeting and if time permits go for a traditional marriage at Ididep in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom State. Let's dive into how I spent my day.

Channel News

I was awake before 7am, we had our family devotion before involving the kitchen assistant. After all was done, I sat to listen to channel news to know what was going on in the country. Channels on its sunrise daily programme gave updates on Dangote vs Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) boss, accusing of financial irregularities. Including spending about $7m on his children's education.

Other updates were on global oil price as released and then the one that is really affecting Nigerians is the industrial action of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) holding the federal government on the neck to respond to the letter they sent since June, demanding for answers as to what the government is doing tackle banditry, kidnapping and incessant killing that has been going on in the country.

The most painful news is the women killed by uniform men in Adamawa State which for weeks now has raised concern. We are in a serious fix security-wise in Nigeria.

Shaving with my wife on my side

About 11:12am, I had to shave my beards. My wife was just standing by not taking my shots, she was showing me areas I still had some hairs to cut. It was fun anyways. After the shaving, the shower was ready for me and I was refreshed and went for the Uyo Presbytery meeting at Christ the King Parish at no. 52 Enwe Street in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. The meeting commenced at exactly 12:39pm with songs and prayers. I was appointed the recording secretary of the meeting. The meeting was well moderated with decisions taken for the growth of the Presbytery. The 2026 plan of work was a major agendum in the agenda which the court treated it one after the other for amendments. After all deliberations, the meeting came to a close at exactly 3:04pm

I was reflecting on the Christmas season and I decided to study the Bible, Luke chapter one which gives an account about the birth of Jesus. How the angel Gabriel appeared to the Virgin Mary with good tidings. The whole story is the reason for the season we are in right now. I found the conversations between the Angel and Mary very interesting especially in verse 37 of Luke chapter one where the Angel told Mary
