An Evening at Nilnag Lake with a Friend
Today, my friend and I spent the holiday at home because the rest of our usual group was busy with their own commitments. One friend has been transferred to Mumbai, another was attending his cousin’s wedding, and a third friend was occupied with family responsibilities after the birth of his child. So, it was just the two of us today.
In the afternoon, we made a plan to visit Nilnag, a beautiful lake located about five to six kilometers from our village. Known for its crystal-clear water and serene surroundings, Nilnag is one of the most picturesque places in our area.
When we arrived, we first climbed a nearby slope and sat there for some time, enjoying the cool breeze and peaceful atmosphere. It was a perfect place to relax away from the crowds. While sitting there, we spoke with our friends over the phone and shared a few laughs.
After spending some time on the hillside, we walked down and started exploring the area around the lake. As we strolled along its banks, the sun slowly began to set. The golden light reflecting on the water created a truly beautiful scene. I captured this moment on video and have shared it here.
Many people from nearby areas, as well as tourists visiting the region, come to see this beautiful lake. In the evenings, the surroundings are often quite busy. Since we are locals and have the freedom to visit whenever we want, we chose to spend our time in a quieter spot first and waited until the crowd began to thin out before walking around the lake.
It was a wonderful evening. We spent quality time together, shared stories, reflected on life, and enjoyed the natural beauty around us. As darkness approached, we finally made our way back home with pleasant memories of a well-spent day.
