People have been living here for a very long time, and during this period they have witnessed changes in the culture, traditions, lifestyle, and customs of this place. The old architecture and our traditional ways used to be extremely interesting and beautiful. It cannot be denied that modern architecture is also good in its own way, but the simplicity that was reflected through the old architecture and the peaceful image it presented is now seen much less in the new architecture that has evolved with time.
Our old houses and ancient structures used to give a person a strange sense of peace and comfort. Keeping those memories and emotions in mind, today I have brought a video for you in which I will show you how our traditional houses used to look—houses that were built with great intelligence and creativity.
A few days ago, we went to Sopore where we got to see these beautiful houses. These houses actually belonged to a friend of my grandfather, who recently passed away, and we had gone there to offer condolences to the family. During our visit, we had the chance to see these traditional homes. They have preserved these houses almost like a heritage site.
