Task 01Do stress relief meditation, do any form of exercise. Share the video and let us know how effective it is for you.

I did Mindfulness meditation practice

I did Mindfulness meditation because I was having a restless mind during the day and I felt the best way for me to have a peaceful mind was to do mindfulness meditation. To achieve this I came out of my room when everywhere seemed to be quiet except the noise of a bird and fowl and a bit of noise coming from my neighbour's room.

I sat down comfortably, crossing my 2 legs and closing my eyes for some seconds paying attention to the fluctuations of my breathing. After some seconds, I open my eyes and still close it back without being distracted by the little noise I heard.

How effective is it for me?

Mindfulness meditation helps me to calm myself down and it gives me peace of mind. After doing the exercise I felt myself back and feeling happy because my mind became free of worries. It makes me feel more comfortable than I did when I hadn't done the exercise.

Task 02Share any creative activity, such as painting, writing poetry, or crafting.

My Poetry: The Breath Between Thoughts

Go to a quiet place and sit comfortably.
Let your feet rest well on the floor,
or your body sink into the ground.
Close your eyes for some mine not as if you want to sleep,
but to arrive.

close your eyes

at the end open your eyes

Take a breath in slowly...
Hold it for a heartbeat.
Now release it,
Like letting go of a heavy burden you no longer need in you.

Imagine your thoughts as clouds drifting across the sky.
You don't chase them.
You don't fight them.
You only notice them.

With every inhale, silently say: "I am here".
With every exhale, whisper: "I let go".

Smile gently if your mind wanders.
Wandering isn't failure,
it is part of being human.

Stay with your breath for at least one minute,
or five, or as long as you can.

When you are ready,
slowly open your eyes,
and carry this calm into the next small moment of your day.

I talked about the poetry titled: the breath between thought to encourage us to always think about our thoughts in a quiet place before taking action. Also, it is for us to know that there is power in meditation as meditation helps us to be calm, and more reasonable in life.

Task 03There will be a short story, read the story and express your own feelings.

As I read through the story, I felt so pity for Sneha because the story shows how silence, neglect, and misunderstanding can destroy a vulnerable life slowly.

As young as Sneha is she has a a down syndrome that has grown up in an environment filled with disrespect, neglect, and constant conflict between her mother and father. Sneha believes that her birth and physical condition are being caused by her parents' unhappiness and this idea is reinforced by things she heard from her grandmother.

Her grandmother was the only one who she felt loved and cared for her so much, but she became lonely and emotionally shattered over the death of her grandmother. She felt trauma over the continuous bullying from outsiders and the lack of emotional support from her parents at home. Sneha attempted to kill herself by taking a sedative because she felt she was overwhelmed by pain and hopelessness.

Her father found her in time when she attempted to end her life and rushed her to the hospital. She survived, but she still fell into a long-term coma, highlighting the severe consequences of a lack of compassion and emotional neglect.
