RE: SC-S29|Geo-Quest Mystery – Week 2: The Sound Map

Thank you for your participation in Geo-Quest Mystery – Week 2: The Sound Map. Here is an evaluation of the post by @solaymann, following the official Week 2 rubric for Geo-Quest Mystery.

Evaluation Summary

CriteriaScoreComments
1. SteemAtlas Pin & Sound Description1.70 / 2.0The SteemAtlas pin is clearly included with coordinates and a named spot (Mustard flower field, North Hugra area, Bangladesh). The post explains the setting well and introduces the sound atmosphere (wind, birds, insects, small animals). To reach full points, add one concise “visitor-friendly” line: what you hear first on arrival + where to stand for the clearest sound layers (edge of field, between rows, near school boundary, etc.).
2. Creativity of Mission & Hidden Sound Challenge1.20 / 2.0The natural soundscape choice is strong and fits Week 2 perfectly (insects + birds + wind + subtle background human activity). However, the hidden sound challenge is only partially implemented: several sounds are mentioned quite directly (wind, birds, insects, grasshoppers). For higher points, hide three distinct sounds using subtle clues/metaphors (without naming them), then ask participants to guess them after watching the video.
3. Speem.watch Proof Video (20–60 seconds, focus on sound)2.20 / 2.5Based on your note, the video captures real nature audio (wind, insects, birds) and supports the Sound Map concept well. For full points, include 1 short spoken intro (location + “Sound Map spot”) and keep a steady 10–15 seconds of standing still so listeners can clearly separate the layers (wind vs insect rhythm vs distant voices).
4. Storytelling Quality2.00 / 2.5The writing is calm and descriptive, and it encourages attentive listening (“stand still,” “multiple sounds at the same time”). To score higher, add a clearer one-minute sound narrative: loudest sound, smallest sound, repeating rhythm, and one surprise sound that appears suddenly.
5. Engagement (Listening / Guessing others)0.70 / 1.0The comment section shows active interaction with others and responses to sound guesses (e.g., confirming duck/farmer). This supports engagement. To secure full points consistently, make sure you also guess three sounds on at least two other participants’ posts (explicitly listing your guesses and why).

Final Score: 7.8 / 10

Remarks:
This is a strong nature-based Sound Map entry with authentic ambient audio and a clearly pinned location. The main improvement to reach the top tier is to make the Hidden Sound Challenge more “hidden” (three sound clues written as hints rather than directly named), and to strengthen the one-minute listening segment with more precise sound details.
