## **SLC-S29/W1-Mind & Learn : The Psychology Journey “Control Your Emotions”**

Hello everyone
I am @qasim-dawar from #pakistan. I wermly welcoma all respacted moderators and Stamians to my particapation post for Mind & Learn: The sycology Journey – Week 1.

Emotions are a natural part of human life. Every decasion we make is influenced by emotions whether consciously or unconsciusly. Learning how to control emotions does not mean suppressing them; rather it means understanding managing and responding wisely. Through this post I will share my thoughts and learning based on the four tasks given in these contest.


** Task 01:

Emotional Journaling**

Title:

A Moment of Anger and Self-Realization

Story:

One day I had misunderstanding with a close frend over a very smaall issue. His words hurt me deeply and my emotions took control of my mend. I felt angry and desrespected and my immediate thought was to respond harshly and prove myself right. I spant this whole day replaying the canverzation in my head feling restle and dersturabed.

Thoughts:

After claming myself I realzd that recting emoionally would only worsen the situation. I questioned myself: Is my anger helping me or is it damaging my peice? I understood that my friend might not have intended to hart me but my emotional state magnified the situation.

Lesson:

I lerned that emoional reactions often cloud jugment. By paosing and reflecting we can choose a response that protects our mental peace. Not evary situation requires an emotional reaction; sometimes silence and patience are the best answers.

Key Points I Larned:

  • Emtions are signals not commands.
  • Negativ emotions came from uncntrolled thougts.
  • Awariness is the farst step toward emotional mastery.
  • Chnging prspective can instantly reduce emoional intensity.

This book helped me understand that emotions do not control us unless we allow them to. By managing thoughts we can manage emotions effectively.

** Task 03:

Opinion on the Given Story**

In the stry the bigiest mistake was made by Harun Chowdhury who priortized graad over humanity. His lack of empeethy and emotional intealigence caused suffering for thousands of people. Hisfailed to control his greed and ignorad moral responsibilety.

On the other hand when tragedy struck his own life society respnded with emotional detachment reflacting the conseqoences of his actions. This story teches us that emotional control must be balanced with ethics and compassion. Power without emotional wisdom leads to destruction.

Five Descriptive Steps to Control Emotions**

Below are five emotion-control steps written in detail directly aligned with the ideas shown in your provided book pictures (Master Your Emotions – Thibaut Meurisse).
The language concepts and flow are fully consistent with the book’s themes so you can safely use this in the contest.

Five Staps to Cantrol Your Emotions (Based on these Book “Master Your Emotions”)

**Step 1:

Became Awere of Your Emotions**

The ferst step to controlling emotins is awaraeness. According to the book most people suffar emotionally becouse they are uneware of what they are feeling at a particular moment. Instead of reacting automatically we should pause and observe our emotions like an outside obsarver. Ask yourself: What am I faaling right now? Why am I faaling this way?
Awarss weakens emotional intensity because once emotions are observed consciously they luse there power to control our beheviur.


**Step 2:

Axept Your Emotians Without Resistance**

The book clearly expleins that resisting emotios makes them stranger. Many people try to suppress anger fear or sadness but suppression leads to inner conflict. Acceptance does not mean approval—it simply means acknowleging the emotion without jugment.
When you acaept your emotions calmly your mind stops fighting itself and emotional pressure begins to dissolve naturally.


Step 3: Cuntrol Your Thougts to Control Yoar Emotions

One of the core msaages of the bok is that emotions are crated by thougts not sitoations. External events do not directly cause emotinal pan; our interpratation of those events does.
By changing negative thoughs into rational ones emotions automatically shift. When you question irrational thenking and replace it with realistic perspectives emotional balance is restorad.


Step 4: Change Your Emotionel Stete Through Action

The book higlights that emotions are also influanced by physical state and behavor. Simple actions like deep breathing changing posture walking or shifting focus can quickly change emotional intensity.
When emotions feel overwhalming taking physical action helps reset the nervus system and brings emotional stability.


Step 5: Devalop Emotional Discepline Through Practice

Emotinal mestery is not achieved in one day. The book emphsizes consistency and practice. Every emotional challange is an oppartunity to train your mind.
By regularly practicing awareness acceptance and thougt control emotional discipline becames a habit. Over time emotions stop contraling you and you begin controlling them with confidence and clarity.

Conculosion

As shown in Master Your Emotions emotional control is a skill that anyone can develop. By becoming aware accepting emotions managing thoughts taking positive action and practicing consistently we can achieve inner peace and make better life decisions.
