THE DAIRY GAME: TAKING MY MUM THE HOSPITAL FOR CHECK UP

Good day everyone.
I’m very delighted to be here again and to share how my day went with you all. I hope everyone is doing well and having a pleasant day wherever you may be reading from.

I woke up early this morning just like I usually do. The first thing I did was say my morning prayers and affirmations, thanking God for the gift of life and for a new day.
After that, I brushed my teeth and took my bath to get myself ready for the day ahead.

When I finished getting ready, I decided to prepare breakfast for my mom and myself. I always enjoy moments like this because it gives us the chance to sit together, talk a little, and start the day on a calm note.
After cooking, we both had our breakfast and thankfully we really enjoyed the meal. It felt like a good and peaceful start to the day.

Not long after breakfast, my mom started complaining about some pains she had been feeling. When she explained how she was feeling, I felt it would be better not to ignore it. I decided to take her to the hospital so she could go for a check-up and make sure everything was okay.

We prepared ourselves and left the house around 8:30 in the morning. From our village, we took a tricycle to the hospital which is located in the township. The ride took a little while, but eventually we got there safely.

When we arrived at the hospital, we realized there were already many people there waiting to receive medical attention.
The place was quite busy. We first joined the queue and went to the records department where bookings are done. After some time, my mom’s details were taken and we were booked to see the doctor.

By the time we finished with the booking process, there were already many patients waiting to see the doctor as well. We had to join the queue and patiently wait for our turn.
It took quite a long time before we were finally able to meet the doctor.
When we eventually entered the consulting room, the doctor asked my mom a number of questions about how she had been feeling and the symptoms she had been experiencing.
After listening carefully, the doctor referred us to the Ear, Nose and Throat department since my mom complained of having epistaxis, which is nose bleeding.

We went to that department and met the medical team there. They also asked a few questions and carried out some physical examinations. After that, they requested that we go to the laboratory to run some tests.

We proceeded to the laboratory and did the required tests. After waiting for the results to be ready, we returned to the doctors with the results.

Thankfully, after reviewing everything, the doctors told us that the results looked fine and there didn’t seem to be anything serious wrong with my mom. They prescribed some medications for her and advised that we should go home and continue observing her condition.
They also told us that if there are any further developments, we should come back to the hospital.

The entire process took quite a lot of time and moving from one department to another was very tiring. By the time we were done with everything, we were both exhausted from all the rounds we had to make in the hospital.

However, despite the stress and long hours we spent there, I was very relieved and happy to hear that nothing serious was wrong with my mom. That alone made the whole effort worth it.
It was indeed an activity-filled day for us, but I’m grateful that everything ended well.
