CineAtlas 60 | Week 2 — 3 Shots Story | Badarganj Road, Rangpur

Assalamu Alaikum Hope all esteemed members of the CineAtlas 60 community are well and healthy. Today I am going to participate in this creative challenge with great pleasure. This beautiful arrangement is done by respected steemian @kouba01, with whose initiative we get a chance to present even a very ordinary moment like a small movie.This week's topic is “3 Shots Story”, where you have to tell a short story using only three shots. These three shots are Wide Shot, Medium Shot and Close-up Shot. I find this topic very interesting, because even in the everyday scenes around us, there are many little stories hidden.

In today's post I have tried to present a short story based on the environment of a busy road near our house. People travel through this road every day, some go to the market, some travel by rickshaw,Others go to sell various things to earn a living. I have captured some moments of that normal life in my camera and present it through this challenge.

1. SteemAtlas Pin – Your Filming Location

These pictures and video were captured from a local road in Badarganj Upazila of Rangpur District, Bangladesh. It is an area adjacent to a small market, where people move throughout the day. There are some small shops nearby and a big old tree by the side of the road makes the whole environment more beautiful. I have selected this place because the normal life of the village can be easily seen here. People of different professions travel through this road every day. Rickshaw drivers, pedestrians or small traders. A real picture of the life of ordinary people emerges in the midst of this busyness.In this challenge of CineAtlas 60 it is important to show a real environment. So this familiar street in my area inspired me to create a short story.

2 . Micro-Film Video (20–60 seconds) – Exactly 3 Shots

Following the rules of this challenge I created a short video of 20 to 60 seconds, using exactly three shots. Tried to convey a scene step by step with each shot.
Wide Shot, The first shot shows the entire street scene. Here you can see the wide stretch of road, the surrounding shops and the movement of people. This shot basically introduces the setting and creates the beginning of the story. Medium Shot,In the second shot, a rickshaw is seen moving along the road and some pedestrians are also walking. This implies that the place is a simple but vibrant place with constant human traffic.Close-up Shot,The last shot shows a close-up of a pot seller. Various cooking pots are hanging in his hands,which he is taking to sell. This scene brings out a human side to the story and gives a small glimpse of the struggle of a common man.

3 . Description – “What is the story in 3 shots?”

These three shots together form a short story, the main theme of which is the daily life of the village. As everyday people are busy with their respective work. Some are moving, some are doing business, some are out on the road with different products to earn their living.At the beginning of the story the environment of the entire area is shown so that the viewer can easily understand the place. Then a middle shot shows a moment of moving life, where people are seen going about their normal lives on the street. The last scene shows a close-up of a seller, which makes the realism and human side of this story more apparent.

To me, this story is a reflection of a very ordinary moment. But within these common scenes is the life of man,Stories of toil and daily struggle lurk. That real feeling is what I tried to convey through these three shots.

4 . Engagement Twist – Shot Breakdown Comments

An important part of this challenge is watching other participants' videos and analyzing their story shots. I noticed that each video used different storytelling styles and creative ways. So I will not only identify wide, medium and close-up shots, but also comment on the mood of the video, lighting, camera angle and story.In the comments I will specifically mention which scene affected me the most and why. For example, a small Detail Shot that enhances the emotion of the story, or a Medium Shot where the main action of the story unfolds nicely.

In addition, I will give constructive suggestions, such as camera stability, suggestions for lighting, framing or some tips to clarify the continuity of the story.In this process, not only do I analyze the work of others, but I also learn something new myself. This strengthens our community, as we get inspiration from each other's work and grow our own storytelling skills.Finally, with these shot-breakdown comments we not only follow the rules,Rather, we share creativity and mutual learning experiences.
