Today, I’m sharing my review of one of the well-known food corners in the Rangpur division. The Rangpur branch of this restaurant is still quite new, but it has already become popular among locals. Let’s get to know more about it.

Where Is It Located and How to Get There?

Kacchi Bhai restaurant is located beside Jahaj Company Mor, on GL Roy Road, Rangpur. The place is already a popular spot because several clothing brand showrooms are nearby. Kacchi Bhai is situated on the upper floor of the Richman Lubnan showroom.

Reaching the restaurant is very easy. The road is smooth, and you can get there by auto, auto-rickshaw, motorbike, or car without any hassle. There is also space to park bikes or cars in front of the Richman showroom, so parking is not an issue at all.

The Rangpur branch of Kacchi Bhai started its journey on 19 March 2024. Since it’s only about a year old, the place still carries a fresh and modern vibe.

The founder of Kacchi Bhai is Sohel Siraj. I could not find the exact establishment date of the main branch, but it is known that their first outlet opened at the entrance of Bashundhara in Dhaka.

Rangpur Kacchi Bhai is mainly known for authentic kacchi biryani and classic Bangladeshi dishes. They run the restaurant with a small but efficient team who work together to maintain quality.

They usually have around 5–6 employees (although I’m not fully certain of the exact number). A possible scenario of their work-

A few skilled cooks handle kacchi, rice, and meat dishes
Assistants help with kitchen support, etc
Several staff members handle serving, table management, and cleanliness
One or two people work at the billing counter and manage orders

Overall, they work in a synchronized way to ensure fast service and a comfortable experience for customers.

What are the facilities like? For example, electricity, seating arrangements, safe water, etc.

Rangpur Kacchi Bhai has a range of customer-friendly facilities. I personally liked the seating arrangement the most. The chairs were quite comfortable and stylish. Some sofa-style seats felt even more relaxing.

All chairs and tables were clean and arranged neatly so that families, friends, and small groups can sit comfortably. The restaurant has uninterrupted electricity, and the fans/AC keep the interior cool and pleasant.

They provide safe drinking water, usually filtered or mineral water. Cleanliness is well-maintained inside, giving a hygienic dining atmosphere. There are also two basin areas with handwash available, making it easy for customers to wash up. Overall, the facilities are arranged thoughtfully, ensuring a peaceful dining experience.

The restaurant’s interior is decorated with white tiles, which makes the whole space look neat, clean, and visually pleasing. The bright white look creates a refreshing atmosphere that feels inviting the moment you step inside.

The main attraction here is their kacchi biryani. Both the basmati kacchi and the special mutton tehari are quite popular and budget-friendly. Their package of plain polao, chicken roast, and borhani also seemed appealing, especially because it was cheaper as a combo. Ordering the items separately costs more. I personally loved their borhani, it tasted surprisingly good.

They offer a wide variety of items on their menu. I think it’s best to visit with a small group of friends or family so you can try their package meals, which usually include 4–5 different items. The prices felt a bit high from my perspective, but since the restaurant is located in a major city, I don’t think the cost will matter much to people with higher budgets. Since Kacchi Bhai is a modern restaurant, they offer all types of payment methods. Both cash and online payment options are available, which is convenient for customers. Being located in a divisional city, it’s natural for them to maintain this advanced payment system.

You should show what food you ate here and talk about the taste

I tried polao, chicken roast, biryani rice, and borhani. To be honest, the polao and chicken didn’t taste that great to me. Even the biryani felt a bit ordinary, although the restaurant is known for its kacchi. Maybe I should try it again another day, sometimes taste differs by batch.

But one thing I absolutely loved was the borhani. I don’t usually drink borhani, but that day I ordered it by chance, and it turned out to be the best part of my meal. The taste was refreshing and really stood out.

My experience with their service was mostly positive. The staff were polite, friendly, and quick at responding. They were professional while taking orders, and the food was served without much delay.

They treated customers respectfully and tried to help whenever needed. Cleanliness during service also seemed satisfactory.

Overall, the service quality is good, and the environment feels friendly and comfortable. A little more professionalism in menu presentation would make it even better, but even as it is now, the service is quite impressive.

Final Thoughts

Kacchi Bhai Restaurant offers a really elegant and pleasant environment. The prices are a bit on the higher side, so most people usually go for the items that start at the lower price range. In my opinion, the food quality is good, but not extraordinary or something very unique.
