Today, I am very excited to share my entry for the Contest organized by the Steem For Lifestyle community. A special thanks to the community admins & moderators @wirngo & @mahadisalim Brother, for hosting such an engaging competition.

Today's Writing, Tomorrow's Memories: The Health Diary
Taking care of your health can be a big challenge in the midst of the busyness and work pressure around us. However, this health thought is about how small awareness and changes in daily habits can ensure our long-term well-being. Along with physical health, maintaining good mental health is now my biggest priority. Many of us are not as conscious about our physical health as we are about our mental health. We don't give importance to mental pain or suffering the way we get busy when we get a little cut or a little fever. Many people are afraid of being shamed by society and cannot even tell anyone about their inner thoughts or inner pain. But I believe that these inner pains and neglects accumulate and eventually create big problems in the mind. So I try to follow some simple rules every day to keep both my mind and body healthy.

I think that one of the first conditions for staying healthy is to eat the right and nutritious foods. I place special emphasis on protein and natural vitamins in my daily diet. I usually try to start the day with a light but nutritious meal, where two boiled eggs are my main source of nutrition and protein in the morning. This gives me the energy to work throughout the day. I prefer simple rice and curry for lunch, but I limit the amount of rice and have a bowl of thick pulses and sufficient fresh vegetables with it. I have local fish or chicken 4-5 days a week to meet my protein needs.

When I get a light hunger in the afternoon during my busy work, I completely avoid chips or fried food (then I eat it occasionally). Instead, seasonal fruits, such as guava or carrots, are my first choice. Apart from that, to kill laziness and keep myself energized during work, I drink a cup of hot black coffee without sugar, which removes my immediate fatigue. When I was on a regular diet, I tried to drink green tea and black coffee regularly.
I always try to keep my dinner light and finish it at least two hours before going to bed. When I was on a regular diet, I used to follow the tips of Dr. Jahangir Kabir-Una, a well-known doctor in our country. However, in addition to my own food, I also pay equal attention to the nutrition and health of everyone in my family. For example, to keep my wife healthy, the doctor has advised her to take iron and calcium tablets regularly for 6 months to replenish the iron and calcium deficiency in her body, along with food. So tonight I bought one leaf of iron tablets from the market for her. Along with this, I also bought fresh dragon fruit for everyone in the house today.

This moment of the whole family sitting together after dinner, talking, eating fruits, and checking on the health of everyone in the family removes my fatigue of the whole day in an instant. In fact, spending time with my family after a busy day of work acts as my mental peace. Talking to everyone and sharing funny moments removes all the fatigue and mental stress from my mind in an instant. This family bond is very valuable to me for my mental health.

To keep your body and mind healthy, it is very important to maintain physical activity along with food and avoid laziness. Because sleeping too much or sitting idle increases fatigue. So I walk for at least 20-30 minutes or do light free-hand exercises every day after Fajr prayers. Also, I maintain the habit of walking for about 20 minutes every day while coming and going to the office. These small steps keep both my body and mind completely fresh and active throughout the day. I regularly use Hexisol to stay safe from germs while walking outside or during work in the office. Although this is a very small habit, it helps a lot in staying away from contagious diseases (which I try to maintain after Corona). Drinking enough water is very important to keep the body alert. Many times when the body feels tired or sleepy due to continuous sitting at the work desk, I drink one or two glasses of water. I aim to drink 3-3.5 liters of water every day.

| Alhamdulillah, I have developed some spiritual habits for mental stability: |

- Spiritual Peace: Whenever I feel down, I try to listen to Islamic ghazals or Quranic surahs, which calm my restless mind instantly. Besides, as a Muslim, praying with deep attention and understanding the meaning works as the biggest and most perfect meditation for me.
- Gratitude Journaling: Every night before going to bed, I try to write down 3 things in my diary for which I am grateful today. This habit draws my attention to the small good aspects of life and keeps my mind happy.
- To-Do List: Every night I make a list of the next day's tasks. When I cross off the list with a pencil after completing each task the next day, a kind of joy and satisfaction comes to my mind.
I think it is very important to have a specific goal in life. Living life without a goal is like getting on a bus with no destination or playing football without a goalpost. When there is a specific goal in life, life feels meaningful, and I find a different interest in working every morning when I wake up.

In my opinion, things like drinking water, using Hexisol, walking regularly, or finding peace of mind when I'm feeling down don't cost anything extra, but they are keeping both my body and mind safe. Spending some quality time with loved ones without holding back your inner pain and following the rules is the key to a healthy and successful life. 🙂
