Explore On The Maps: Explore Emergency Service Zone
In our busy civic life, there are some service organizations that keep the wheels of the entire city running backstage. We realise their importance, especially in times of emergency. The main topic of this week's Steemit Learning Challenge is Emergency Service Zone. As a job holder, today I am sharing my experience and detailed information about a very important fuel supply center located right next to my workplace.
Fuel Supply Station
What kind of service zone did you reviewed? Where is it located? Share a brief description of the service zone |

I have chosen the fuel supply station category for this contest. The name of the establishment is Ideal Filling Station. It is located on Tejgaon Link Road, one of the busiest commercial areas of Dhaka. Personally, this pump is very familiar to me, because my office is right next to it. I see the busyness and uninterrupted service of this pump very closely during my daily commute. Being located in the heart of Dhaka City, it is a very important fuel zone for everything from general public transport to emergency ambulances, office-going private cars, and bikers.

What are the facilities like there? For example, customer service, item list, prices etc. (with pictures + videos + descriptions). |

The Ideal Filling Station next to my office is quite spacious and has the ability to refuel multiple vehicles at once.
Customer Service: The behavior of the pump staff is quite professional and fast. There are several dispensing units for fueling here, so you do not have to stand in line for a long time during normal times.
Item List: Octane, petrol, and diesel are available for vehicles here. There is also a facility for airing the tires of the vehicle (Free Air Service) on one side of the pump.
Price List: Here is the current market price of fuel as per the latest announcement by the Bangladesh government. I have mentioned a price list below:
| Fuel Type | Price (BDT/Ltr) | US Dollar (USDT) | Steem Price (STEEM) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Octane | 145.00 Taka | $1.18 | 0.21 STEEM |
| Petrol | 140.00 Taka | $1.14 | 0.20 STEEM |
| Diesel | 115.00 Taka | $0.94 | 0.17 STEEM |

Discuss in detail the environmental situation of the Emergency Service Zone. |
|---|
Despite being located in a traffic-prone area like Tejgaon Link Road, the interior of Ideal Filling Station is quite neat and clean. In addition, they have an automobile workshop inside, along with the fuel station.

Safety measures: As a fuel station, there are fire extinguishers, sand buckets, and adequate safety instructions clearly provided. No-smoking signs are quite visible.
Space arrangement: The layout inside the pump is designed in such a way that cars can enter and exit easily. However, even though there is some jam during peak hours (office start and holidays), the cars can move quickly with the efficient management of the staff inside.

I have a wonderful and very critical experience with this pump. A few days ago, there was a sudden, severe oil shortage due to the impact of the global war. At almost every pump in Dhaka, there were miles-long lines, and many were not getting oil even after waiting for hours.
At that time, I used to see a heartbreaking scene at the pumps every day. Especially those who use motorbikes for daily income or those who are drivers of ride-sharing apps like Pathao—they were literally in extreme distress. Even after standing in line for hours, they were not getting the main ingredient of their livelihood, i.e., oil, due to which their entire daily income was stopped. The chain reaction of this oil crisis directly hit the public life of our common people. Due to a lack of sufficient oil, the public transport system collapsed, on the pretext of which the prices of every daily essential started increasing sharply. A restless and suffering situation was created all around.

Our organization's own emergency logistics and transportation work was also almost at a standstill. We received tremendous support from this Ideal Filling Station during those critical days. Since my office is very close and due to our institutional and good relations, we were able to collect oil from here regularly without any long queues or inconvenience. Their uninterrupted and cooperative service during these times of extreme danger acted as a lifesaver to keep our official activities running.

My personal opinion and suggestion for improving customer service:
In my opinion, although their current service is very commendable, two small steps can be taken to further improve customer service:
- The number of digital payment or card/bKash payment counters needs to be increased so that time is not wasted on cash transactions.
- It would be very beneficial for long-distance drivers if there was a small shed or corner for drivers to sit or have refreshments.
Conclusion
In my opinion, an ideal fuel station or filling station is not just a commercial centre for selling oil, but it is the invisible driving force behind keeping the wheels of a city moving. The way Ideal Filling Station stood by the common people, helpless rider brothers and supported emergency logistics organizations like us during the days of severe crisis during the war is truly commendable. The contribution of such responsible and humane emergency service organizations in a busy and dynamic city like Dhaka is undeniable. It is our civic duty to express gratitude to those who help keep the lives of common people moving, even in severe crises.

¡Saludos amigo!🤗
