SEC-S30W3: The Things I am Thankful For
In nine days, we'd say goodbye to the first quarter of 2026. For many of us, the past 81 days have been a real mix of highs and lows. However, in all these, there’s always something to be grateful for. Looking back, I have many things to be grateful for as well. In this post, I'd share the top three things that kept me going.
- Knowledge
- Good Music
- Healthy Food
Knowledge is a super powerful tool for growth because it arms us with the relevant information needed to navigate through life. For me, having the right information this quarter has helped me make many smart, informed decisions. I’m truly grateful for the times I spent reading a book or valuable Steemit posts daily. These months alone, I've been able to make better investments, improve my health, and grow my finances all thanks to an insight someone shared.
Music is food for the soul. In my case, it's the anchor of my life. There were multiple times I felt overwhelmed. During those moments, two genres of music did the saving.
• Music from the 80s
• Gospel tunes
I jokingly tell people that I could be stuck in an Island but if I can access these two genres, then there's nothing in the world to be worried about. Listening to them boost your mood, especially when they have impactful lyrics and soothing melodies. There is this music that has been my constant companion. It's titled "Saved by You" by Ryan Ellis. Its chorus reminds me of the Saviour's love. No matter how hard I try to forget it, it continues to live rent free in my head. If this continues for another quarter, I'm sure that it will appear in my Spotify Wrap.
One of my goals this year was to scrap out junk foods from my diet. Before now, I struggled with eating healthily due to various factors like limited time, stress, etc. But since I made a conscious effort to include more protein and veggies in my meals, I've noticed a significant improvement in my health.
If you've not been a victim of unhealthy eating, you might not fully understand how relieving it feels to nourish the body properly.
I'm grateful for the ability to achieve these and more. The coming months will be blissful as well. By God's grace.

Hi, @ukpono
It's a pleasure to see that you've accepted my challenge, welcome! Here is your evaluation:
Someone once told me that we always learn, the knowledge that every human being possesses is the product of an openness to learn, regardless of whether the knowledge is intellectual, experiential or emotional. There must always be that openness, because if not, we remain stagnant. It is wise of you to be grateful for the knowledge.
I agree with you.
We gain knowledge when we open our minds to receive it. Many times, I've observed that one can be stuck to the past lifestyles because they weren't ready to open up to learn something new. That way, they make little to no progress. Knowledge is gain when we make ourselves willing to learn.
I loved the fact that you can sing, being healthy and having something healthy to eat is a big blessings. Many can't afford three good square meal, but you're being bless with healthy food which is a good reason for you to always be grateful. Wishing you good luck.
Sincerely this touched my heart.
I understand that the current economy has taken a toll on many families. The high cost of food and other living necessities makes it difficult for many to afford at least three good square meals. I hope the coming years get better.
