The Diary Game:Wet wednesday and watching chess videos [01/04/2026]
Greetings, my esteemed Steemians, and welcome back to another episode of my ongoing blog post. This particular Wednesday began with a familiar rhythm of gratitude and routine. By the grace of God, I awoke with the dawn, performed my morning devotions, and refreshed myself with a warm bath, preparing for the day ahead. My breakfast was a delightful affair: perfectly scrambled eggs paired with tender yam, a truly delicious and satisfying start that left me feeling energized. As soon as I had finished my meal, I wasted no time in heading out, eager to commence my workday as usual.

The daytime hours brought a specific errand that required my attention. I made my way to a particular welding workshop, as I had an item that needed their expert touch.

The task was completed efficiently, and as I was wrapping things up, I noticed my phone's battery was critically low. The immediate need to use it for an urgent matter sparked a moment of minor panic, quickly followed by immense relief as I remembered I had foresightedly packed my charger. Plugging it in felt like a small victory, a true lifesaving moment

As evening approached, the weather took a dramatic turn. The skies opened up, unleashing a heavy downpour that transformed the city streets. I counted myself incredibly fortunate to already be in transit, making my way home. Had I been delayed even a few minutes, I would have been caught in the deluge, facing significant delays and discomfort.

Despite my timely departure, the intensity of the rain meant that by the time I arrived home around 8 PM, my clothes were thoroughly soaked. The first order of business was to hang them indoors to dry. Following that, a long, hot bath was an absolute necessity, not only to warm myself but also to wash away the damp chill. To combat any lingering mustiness in the bathroom, I made sure to use an air freshener, ensuring a pleasant atmosphere.

Later in the evening, around 10 PM, a sense of boredom began to creep in. To pass the time, I decided to browse through some Facebook Reels on my phone. It was during this casual scrolling that I stumbled upon something unexpectedly captivating: a chess tournament called the FIDE Candidates. The snippets I saw were intriguing, showcasing intense strategic battles and brilliant moves. My curiosity piqued, I spent some time watching recaps and analyses of the tournament on YouTube, delving deeper into the fascinating world of professional chess. It was a surprisingly engaging way to unwind before I finally decided to call it a night and head to bed.

I suppose that encapsulates my day's experiences. Until my next diary post, take care and goodbye.
