World Malaria Day April 25: Accelerating the fight against Malaria for a more equitable world.

Today is 25 April 2025. Every year 25 April is commemorated as internationally as World Malaria Day. On this day joint effort is made for the control of the spread of Malaria disease globally. It is spread by mosquitoes and the mosquito of this disease is mostly found in marshy places and high-temperature areas.

Malaria is a fatal mosquito-borne disease According to a survey about 3.3 billion people in 106 countries are at high risk of malarial disease. According to a report in 2012, Malaria caused 0.627 million deaths. According to the World Health Organization Report 74% of malarial cases are reported in African countries. This is the reason that, in Africa, this day is commemorated as African Malaria Day.
We can get rid of malaria by destroying marshy places(habitat of mosquitoes), using mosquito nets, sleeping indoors, and spraying environmentally friendly mosquito sprays.
