Hundreds of students of Dwijendra Kumar Lower Secondary School are studying in an educational institution set up on the banks of Pandor Haor in Dakshin Sreepur Union of Tahirpur Upazila of Sunamganj. This educational institution has no road connection with the island-like villages on the banks of the Haor. So for the 6 months of the rainy season of the year, the students are risking their lives to travel to school in small dinghy boats every day, ignoring the clouds, rain and haor waves. And for the remaining 6 months, he goes to school on foot with an isle of muddy ground.

It is learned that at least 300 students from 10 villages are studying in this school. During the monsoons, the water around this educational institution on the banks of the Haor swells. And there is no official boat or any other means of communication for the students to cross the haor. The parents of those students cannot afford to buy a boat. Even then, many parents buy small dinghy boats to send their children to school, thinking about the educational life of their children. And the students themselves come and go to school by boat with oars in their hands.

Parents who can't afford a boat can't go to school. So the presence of students on the banks of the haor is low. Time and again, in the interest of the safety of the students, the headmaster Manmohan Roy Talukder had been demanding a big boat for the school.

Assistant teacher Zahid Hasan Pintu said all the students from 10 villages on the banks of the Haor are coming to school every day in the dinghy, risking their lives in the rainy season. Many people can't come back because of the boat.

This teacher said that if there was a good and big boat, the life of the students could be given security. The quality of education could be increased.

It is learned that in 2018, the late Dwinesh Chandra Talukder, former chairman of Dakshin Sreepur Union, set up the Dwijandra Kumar Lower Secondary School for the students of Haor Par with his own funds. But the locals are not getting special benefits from the school financially.

Hi bobita001..
Es muy triste que los estudiantes de su país reciban educación de esta manera a riesgo de sus vidas, y que tengan una educación realmente exitosa.
