One of my favorite things to do here in Madrid, is going on night walks. Maybe it has to do with how lively the city becomes at night(pre & post covid), or maybe it's just the wide array of restaurants to explore when an opportunity avails itself. I could literally go to a different restaurant everyday for a whole year, and sample something new every time, it's that good! Not to mention the most beautiful historical buildings, I could never have enough of those.

I recently passed by the parliament, Congreso de los Diputados. Not the most interesting building I've seen, but an important landmark nonetheless. I just love how in times before they really put a lot of effort into building, hard to find that with the current technological developments. Everything done so fast and not enough attention to details. Don't get me wrong, I love to see the sky scrapers in Singapore and contemplate on how far we have come technological wise, but I do value pre-historical buildings. Blood and sweat went into them, you can just tell by the art engraved into them.

Walking through Madrid appreciating this building is literally like being in a live walk-through museum. I love it.

Which is that place that you enjoyed exploring pre-historic/pre-colonial buildings? That is, if you have any.

Here's a little fun fact of this infamous Spanish government office;

The Congress of Deputies is the lower house of the Cortes Generales, Spain's legislative branch. The Congress meets in the Palace of the Parliament in Madrid. It has 350 members elected by constituencies by closed list proportional representation using the D'Hondt method. Deputies serve four-year terms.
