Cruise ship "Carnival Magic".
Remember, in the description of our first cruise to the Bahamas, I mentioned that our first cruise ship seemed huge to me then, until ... we got on our second cruise ship while traveling in the Western Caribbean.
Meet our second cruise ship, "Carnival Magic".
For comparison, I give you a photo of the first liner, "Enchantment of the Seas" by Royal Caribbean.
Well, how do you compare?
Here I am about the same. The first liner no longer seemed so big compared to the second.
The second one is twice as high in the number of decks, even if you count.
Let's look at it in more detail.
So, the cruise ship "Carnival Magic".
General information.
Year of construction: 2011.
Length: 306 meters.
Width: 37.2 meters.
Cruise speed: 20 knots.
Displacement: 130,000 tons.
Number of passengers (double occupancy): 3,690.
Number of crew members: 1,367.
Number of passenger decks: 13.
If especially inquisitive people want to compare it with our previous liner, they will see that they do not differ much in length and width. But the second one goes into height, more than doubling the number of decks, due to which it has a much larger displacement.
The number of passengers fits 1000 more, and there are 500-600 more attendants.
In general, our second cruise was on a liner, a class larger.
Let's walk a little with a review of the liner.
Infrastructure.
Restaurants.
If breakfasts, lunches, dinners and all snacks between them are included in your cruise, then an additional separate visit to each of the restaurants is paid separately.
Different prices.
For those who do not plan to visit restaurants additionally, I will say right away: you will have enough food from morning to night and without additional restaurants. Usually passengers go to them instead of the established dinner or lunch already included in the cruise.
On the LOBBY deck there are two large restaurants serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Huge rooms. On two floors, this one, on the north side of the liner, in which we had dinner every evening at 20:30. Exquisite and splendid.
Northern Lights Dining Room
Southern Lights Dining Room.
The same restaurant, only at the opposite end of the liner, on the south side.
There are wonderful restaurants on the PROMENADE deck.
The Lanai BBQ.
At this outdoor BBQ bar, you can sample Italian sausages, grilled chicken ribs, and of course the classic ham and beef sandwiches.
Sushi & More.
A small corner of Japan on board. Great sushi, first-class chefs prepare them right in front of you.
Prime Steakhouse.
Prime Steakhouse will offer you dishes prepared from the freshest and highest quality beef. A variety of seafood snacks and a wide wine list are also presented to your attention.
Deck: LIDO.
Lido Marketplace Cafe.
It's a huge buffet and for your children there is a separate children's menu.
Deck: PANORAMA.
Restaurant Cucina del Capitano.
We booked a table there for the 6th day of our sailing. And only $15 per person.
The menu of the restaurant is focused on Italian cuisine, which has a unique taste and aromas. It is quite possible that here you can meet the captain of Carnival Magic, because he has a separate table here.
7 more additional bars on different decks. Wherever you feel most comfortable, there you are. Someone inside the liner, at the lobby, someone outside, by the pool, overlooking the sea, on the upper deck.
Huge choice of cabins, from simple to luxurious, on this cruise we had a second deck, a cabin with a window.
I'll just show you some colorful pictures.
Here is such a comfort, for every taste and wallet.
As for entertainment, they are here for every taste, as they are on all cruise ships.
Swimming pools, gym, game rooms, places for small children and teenagers, as well as for adults only, water park, indoor and outdoor cinema, library, casino, computer club, shops for shopping.
You definitely won't be bored there.
To be continued....
