This Blog-Mas was from our at visit at Baguio Country Club for this December 2022 Christmas Village.

This is my first time to visit Baguio Country Club's Christmas Village.  I have my own reasons as to why but mostly to avoid the crowd and the hassle and stress of getting there.

When we arrived, there was already a long line of people outside the area of the Christmas Village.  There were personnel assisting those who want to go in.  We got there with no mask which is one of the requirements for you to get in plus showing your vaccination card.

If you have the complete requirements, then you are allowed to go in after paying the entrance fee.

Because we had no mask, we thought of going home instead.  We just came from a trip and this was our last stop.  Fortunately, there were vendors selling masks so we bought from them.  Good thing I still have a copy of my vaccination card in my phone which I showed to the staff checking those.

At the ticket booth, you are handed a stub and then surrender that to the staff at the entrance then you will be stamped.

Some lights were already lit at the entrance.  Right away there were stalls to the far left and right of the entrance.  The area was almost packed and everyone was waiting for the whole place to light up.

The theme of the village is Korean, Japanese and Chinese but mostly Japanese.  Different colored trees are scattered around along with flowers, lanterns and other structures.  All these were artificial I believe.  However, they worked together to make the place look someplace else.

While waiting for the place to be lit, I took several other photos.

There are stalls that sell food and drinks while some sell toys and other stuff. Of course, there is a stall for the Club's pastries and bakeshop.  They are well-known for their raisin bread.  It's by far the most delicious raisin bread I have tasted.  I wanted to buy one but it's too pricey for me as the price gradually increased through the years.  Maybe next time.

These are just some of the different fake trees you can see in the village.  They are attractive enough especially when the lights were lit.

And then it snowed - well, bubbles that is.

There were four pagodas set up which were the sources of these bubbles sprayed every 20 minutes or so interval.  That's why at the gate they continually remind everyone not to wear slippers to avoid getting wet from the bubbles.

I forgot to bring a cap to protect my head from getting wet so whenever they turn on the bubble machine, I had to stay away from them where it is dry.

Whenever the ground was filled with lots of suds, a personnel would sweep them to the side.

Before lighting up the village, it went dark for the presentation to start.  I didn't watch the nativity scene which went a few minutes and then suddenly the area was awash with colorful lights.

Suds would then stick to some of the things there before dripping to the ground.

There were also cosplayers including a Mr. and Mrs. Santa, some couple in Korean attire, anime cosplayers, etc.

You can take photos with them but also have to leave tips.

All in all, it was okay for me.  The only edge it has from other Christmas villages here in the city is the bubble machine.  Decoration wise, it has it's good and bad points.  I was a bit disappointed.  The fee did not meet my expectation as compared to that of Botanical Garden where the fee was minimal but the displays are better.  There are more lights too.  However, no bubble machine.

Also, they will require you to wear mask at the entrance but once you are in the village, they don't bother you with wearing mask and it can get crowded for there is continuous flow of people.

The village is open from 10 am to 10 pm.  The theme for this year is Oriental Wonderland.  For more information, you can check their page here.  You can also contact them there for more inquiries.

Baguio Country Club is located at Country Club Road, Baguio City, Philippines.
