Craving satisfied at the night market
Because were craving for some food, we decided to go to the night market to satisfy our hunger.
Baguio's night market had become a regular event. What started as initiative to help local businesses has now become one of the attractions in the city that tourists and locals like to go.
Pre pandemic, the food stalls are located at both ends of the market. One side of Harrison Road is closed for the night market. Small kiosks and stalls are then set up and different merchandise are displayed. I believe this started without food stalls. However, if you want your craving satisfied at the night market, you can do while shopping or window shopping for whatever are displayed there.
For this particular #WednesdayWalk and #MakeMeSmile, we had a quick visit to the food stalls at the night market. #WednesdayWalk is an initiative of @tattoodjay and #MakeMeSmile by @elizacheng.
Once the clock strikes 9:00 p.m., the road is closed the night market is open for business.
The food stalls are now located at the parking lot and some stalls are open even before 9:00 p.m.
I haven't been to the food night market for a long time. During our last visit there pre-pandemic, I didn't even bother checking out the food. There were occasions though when we had cravings at night that we would go buy one of our faves.
That was actually the interest for this walk. We were hoping to find that same food that we liked before.
To help monitor the crowd, there is now one way in and out of the market unlike before where you can enter anywhere. Now they cordoned the area to restrict people from doing that. This is a huge help for there is order.
We had to pass by stalls of dry goods before getting to the entrance of the food night market.
The plan was to go in and out quickly so we didn't saunter but rather took photos of whatever.
When we were at the food stalls, we checked right way if our fave stall was there. Unfortunately, it was not.
That's when we checked the stalls again, slowly this time, and tried to find something so that we had craving satisfied at the night market.

Finally, we found a kebab stall and that is what we settled for.
I chose beef while my partner had pork. We ordered and paid for it and was given a number and then we were told to wait. I kindly asked the owner if I can take photos of their products and he obliged.

It was not a long wait. About 10 minutes or so, our number was called and we collected our order.
We found a place to eat our food in peace.
The food is okay. I would have wanted mine to be more tender but it was still okay. The spicy sauce is just right and compliments the food well. Did we have craving satisfied at the night market? Not 100% but still okay.
Once done, we walked around some more trying to find something that we can bring home. In the end, we took bought some barbecue and home-cooked meals.
We then exited the food night market.

It was a bit of a let down that we didn't find our fave stall nor was there a variety of food to choose from. However, if you like the food shown above, then you surely will have a craving satisfied at the night market.
