Golden & 100 Feet Statue of Gautama Buddha

Ramu is a beautiful place and famous for many attractions. This is just a few kilometers apart from the main town and if you like to visit Cox's Bazar (The World Longest Sandy Beach) this is just on the way near to Cox's Bazar with easy access.

You must try as it would cost you nothing additional if you have a personal vehicle and would take half an hour to visit this place.

Due to lockdown and fear of the current pandemic, we did not move out of the city for months till this tour. Finally last week I had a chance to travel by my cousin's personal vehicle so I had to grab the chance! Although our destination was only "Captai Lake" but we made it till Cox's Bazar beach!

After a couple of days journey, we were tired but not still we wanted to extend our journey so, we decided to go to see the Sunset in the beautiful Cox's Bazar. On the way, we drag ourselves to the 100 feet statue of Gautam Buddha!

Basically, it is on the way to Cox's Bazar at Ramu and it is just five minutes car drive from the highway and easy to find. You'll be welcomed by a huge gate and after stepping up more than 50 steps you'd fin the 100 feet golden statue of laying Gautam Buddha.

Many People think they are visiting to watch the statue made of gold but the huge statue is not made of gold but they got about one foot golden statue inside of the temple which is basically made of gold.

It is a beautiful place and not many options to explore, the stairs is beautiful to capture pictures and you'd find the statue behind you from the final 20 steps if you love selfie.

You would love this place as it is close to your way and got both green shade of trees, the statue, and the steps to reach the statue. Also, the golden decorative part of the temple building and statue would attract you.

other than the temple which was built 308 BC. this place has no historical value as the 100 feet statue made after the year 2000 and it would not be a good idea to visit only this place from a far distance. Easy access and a nice view will give you a very good feeling and my suggestion is to visit this place before visiting the beach.
