Non so se cio' che scrivo in questo pezzo sia realmente quello che accadra' all'isola in un futuro molto prossimo, non sono un indovino e neanche un grande esperto di geopolitica.
Mi limito ad essere un testimone del mio tempo e a raccontare cio' che vedo ipotizzando, non so con quanto successo, scenari futuri.
Mi sbilancio divendovi che, malgrado l'ennesima pagliacciata su Raul, non credo all'invasione o a una guerra degli Usa contro Cuba, perlomeno non in prima battuta.
Forse e' quello che vorrebbe Rubio ma nell'entourage di Trump non sono tutti stupidi come il segretario narcotrafficante, sanno perfettamente che ci sono altri modi per mettere mano all'isola.
Mi messaggiavo l'altro giorno con un carissimo amico italiano che ha un locale a Guanabacoa.
Mi racconta che il locale, dopo un periodo di magra, ora va un po' meglio, questo mi fa molto piacere.
Mi raccontava che la sera prima abitanti del luogo si erano tirati in strada dopo l'ennesimo infinito apagones.
Cerchiamo di immedesimarci un attimo, chi di noi non scenderebbe in strada a far casino dopo 20/30 ore senza corrente?
Persino S.Francesco e Madre Teresa di Calcutta si metterebbero a pestare con un mestolo contro una pentola per fare rumore.
Questo e' quello che vogliono gli Usa, o meglio l'attuale amministrazione, che la gente scenda in strada a fare casino.
Magari inizialmente, come ora, in modo pacifico ma poi le cose, dietro a provocazioni ben studiate, potrebbero prendere una piega differente, a quel punto la PNR e le forze di sicurezza dovrebbero intervenire, come avviene in ogni parte del mondo.
Quello sarebbe il pretesto per un eventuale intervento, "salvare il popolo cubano dalla repressione poliziale", detto dal paese che ha l'ICE...
Quindi prima tagliare fuori il Venezuela, poi impedire a qualunque paese, pena i dazi, di vendere (non regalare) petrolio all'isola, apagones infiniti, proteste della gente, intervento delle forze dell'ordine, intervento "umanitario" statunitense.
Fila tutto liscio senza neanche una piega.
Come ho scritto l'altro giorno Cuba ha anche una produzione autoctona di crudo, fotovoltaico, eolico e quello che volete voi ma nessun paese al mondo puo' resistere a lungo con mesi e mesi senza l'arrivo del carburante.
Cuba puo' solo cercare di centellinare il poco che ha, vedremo se nelle prossime settimane Russia e Cina faranno qualcosa, intanto e' arrivato un altro aiuto umanitario dal Messico, chissa' se in quella nave, nascosto non ci sia stato anche qualche bidone di petrolio...
E' chiaro come siamo di fronte ad un puro atto di pirateria internazionale, autentici banditi che vogliono strangolare l'isola, non il governo, ma la popolazione che poi e' quella che, ogni giorno, soffre davvero per questa situazione.
Chissa' cosa pensano quei cogl....ehm quei diversamente Intelligenti cubani che, dall'exterior, sperano che qualcuno faccia quello che loro non hanno avuto i coglioni di fare.
Chissa' se sono contenti di vedere il loro paese, il loro barrio, la loro famiglia, la loro gente far fatica a tirare avanti, qua' non si tratta di essere o meno Comunisti, si tratta di essere o meno PERSONE.
E' giusto pagare un prezzo cosi' alto per un cambio di regime che portera'...chissa' cosa?

I don't know if what I'm writing in this piece is actually what will happen to the island in the very near future. I'm not a fortune teller, nor even a great geopolitical expert.
I'm simply a witness of my time and describing what I see, hypothesizing—I don't know how successfully—future scenarios.
I'll go out on a limb and tell you that, despite the umpteenth farce about Raul, I don't believe in a US invasion or war against Cuba, at least not at first.
Maybe that's what Rubio would like, but not everyone in Trump's entourage is as stupid as the drug-trafficking secretary; they know perfectly well that there are other ways to get their hands on the island.
I was texting the other day with a very dear Italian friend who owns a bar in Guanabacoa.
He told me that the bar, after a lean period, is now doing a little better; that makes me very happy.
He told me that the night before, locals had taken to the streets after yet another endless row.
Let's try to put ourselves in mind for a moment: who among us wouldn't take to the streets and make a racket after 20-30 hours without power?
Even St. Francis and Mother Teresa of Calcutta would bang a ladle against a pot to make noise.
This is what the US, or rather the current administration, wants: people taking to the streets and making a racket.
Perhaps initially, like now, peacefully, but then things, thanks to well-planned provocations, could take a different turn, at which point the PNR and the security forces would have to intervene, as happens everywhere in the world.
That would be the pretext for a possible intervention, "saving the Cuban people from police repression," said by the country that has ICE...
So first cut Venezuela out, then prevent any country, under penalty of tariffs, from selling (not giving) oil to the island, endless apagones, popular protests, intervention by the police, US "humanitarian" intervention.
Everything goes smoothly without a single wrinkle.
As I wrote the other day, Cuba also has indigenous production of crude oil, photovoltaic, wind, and what have you, but no country in the world can resist for months and months without the arrival of fuel.
Cuba can only try to sip what little it has. We'll see if Russia and China do something in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, more humanitarian aid has arrived from Mexico. Who knows if that ship also contained a few drums of oil...
It's clear that we're facing a pure act of international piracy, real bandits who want to strangle the island, not the government, but the population, who are the ones who truly suffer every day from this situation.
Who knows what those idiots...er, those less-than-intelligent Cubans are thinking, who, from the outside, hope someone will do what they didn't have the balls to do.
Who knows if they're happy to see their country, their neighborhood, their family, their people struggling to get by? This isn't about being a Communist or not, it's about being a PEOPLE or not.
Is it right to pay such a high price for a regime change that will bring...who knows what?
