Suarez spoils Morata's move to Barcelona
The Uruguayan Luis Suarez, the Atletico Madrid striker, played a prominent role in spoiling the transfer of Alvaro Morata, the Juventus star, to Barcelona during the current winter Mercato.
Barcelona tried to include Morata in more than one format, but Juventus stipulated that he first contract with another striker, before allowing the Spanish player to leave.
According to the Italian newspaper, Corriere dello Sport, Juventus agreed to return Morata to Atletico Madrid, who will transfer him to Barcelona, but on the condition that Suarez obtain the services of Suarez until the end of the season.
She indicated Suarez refused to move to Juventus, although he had entered into a crisis during the last period with his coach Diego Simeone at Atletico Madrid.
This is the second time that Suarez has been linked with a move to Juventus, as the deal was about to happen in 2020, but it collapsed because the Uruguayan player needed to obtain Italian citizenship.
Suarez took an exam at the University of Perugia at the time to obtain citizenship, but it later emerged that he had taken the questions in advance, which led to an investigation with university professors and Juventus officials.
