Cross Above 1,000 Points

Today I am excited that after a long time of playing this game, I crossed 1k points above today.

This game is a Pentris-style block puzzle game, a timeless classic where the goal is to fit falling shapes (called tetrominoes) into a grid to form complete horizontal lines.

As shown in the image I have shared, different blocks descend from the top of the screen. The player can move, rotate, and drop the pieces using the control buttons on the right. Every time a horizontal line is filled, it disappears earning the player points and making room for more blocks.

The challenge increases as the game progresses: blocks fall faster, leaving less time to think and react. When the stacked pieces reach the top of the screen, the game ends, displaying the final score: I Score: 1440.

It’s a fun mix of strategy, speed, and spatial awareness, encouraging, and as a player, I plan to stay sharp. In my next post, I will talk more about the game as time progresses.

Hello, cjnwenyi, this was an exciting post to read, and I could honestly imagine how happy you were to cross the 1,000 points threshold. With 1,440 points, you understand that you have become patient and consistent. I prefer the way you have explicitly described what the Pentris-style game is all about, how the falling blocks can be fitted, and how horizontal lines can be cleared to get points. The game is a pressure and requires good skill to remain focused as you described the blocks falling quicker as you play.

The most remarkable moment to me was the way in which you put stress on strategy, speed, and spatial awareness. It is not only with the game, but in real life as well. I think this is an important lesson: when we continue to appear, we can be improved even after we have had numerous unsuccessful experiences. I have also come to know that being alert and composed particularly when the pace is accelerated matters a lot.

Another well deserved one, @cjnwenyi. A score of 1k and above is not merely an indicator of growth. I am eager to see your further post and even better grades in the future.
