I visited the Netherlands and enjoyed the flower parade in 2000. My son went there on a cultural exchange program and is still in touch with the wonderful family that hosted him. I hope that what I got to know doesn't change and that it continues to be a beautiful and responsible nation.

I hope so, but the government is certainly not responsible. We now have a minority government, which means that it is certainly not democratic and that even more taxes will be imposed on the few who work. In addition, the scandal over inadequate child benefit has still not been resolved, with hundreds of children being taken away from their parents and disappearing without trace. Families have been disrupted, married couples have split up, they have lost their homes, fallen into poverty, and all this without children, without reason. It was a mistake by the tax authorities! As a tourist, you don't notice these things, just like too many other surcharges and taxes imposed on us. Nothing looks good without a large financial contribution from a small group of workers. The minority government intends to dismantle everything. So we will have to wait and see how this develops, probably a government from Brussels, or?
