This is my grandson's favorite book. The author is known for his horror genre but surprisingly, this book falls under the fairy tale genre with the classic good vs evil plot. The flowers are from our yellow bell plants.

You are right on that point but not all are that gruesome. Cinderella immediately comes to mind. Goldilocks and Rumpelstiltskin and Peter Pan would definitely pass as less gruesome. Anyway, I only know Hollywood's version of these fairy tales which I guess are not the original stories.
Finally something I can easily find in my house! haha. Inviting @bluelavender surely you've got something for us ;-))
