Darasbari Madrasa: Probably this was the first and oldest Madrasa (Islamic school) in Bangladesh.

This building is now in ruins. This building probably built at 1500 AD. And it was a big building at that time. This building used to a Islamic School. The name of this Madrasa (Islamic School) is Darasbari Madrasa.

Madrasa is a bangli word. In Bangali language, madrasa means Islamic School. This madrasa played a more important role in the spread of Islam in the region.
Islam appeared in Bangladesh a long time ago, but the people of this country had little knowledge of Islam. As a result this madrasa was established. Madrasas usually teach about the Holy Quran, Hadith, Islam etc. There are many rooms around. Everything is destroyed.
But very little information is available about this madrasa. I learn some information about this Madrasah from a placard.
