Wow, that fish is huge! I'd love to have a Japanese-style garden with its pond and free-swimming fish.
Although to be more Zen I should become a vegetarian!

It is. When we first had them, they were about 5cm long. Now, after more than ten years, they have grown and we didn't expect they would grow so big.
Aahh yes, very zen Japanese style garden. It is very therapeutic to listen to the sounds of water from the pond or tank and see fishes swim freely.

Wow, I've only heard of such a long-lived fish once before, while researching goldfish. Your fish could be a Guinness World Record holder!

Ten years??!! 🤯🤯 That long? I wonder how much is that in terms of human life. Like dogs are about one dog year is to 7 human years. And from 5cm to about a meter long. Incredible. What do you normally feed them? They'll need much more than those fish flakes used to feed small fishes. 🤔
Not sure if fish have fish years 😂 But we had the fishies for more than 10 human years. We give them fish pellets. At one point, we fed them small fish but they sometimes get sick (we suspect the small fish were already sick and infected them), so we stopped and just stick to pellets. Seems to be the safest. Hehe yah fish flakes would not be enough.
