1000 DAYS OF STEEM — The Diary Game - 10/10/2024 - The smile is coming back...

I get to write this daily report of mine at a rather late time (I'm referring to Italian time), midnight isn't very far away, I'd like to be able to finish this post by that time, now I'll try to get behind it, to see what I'll be able to come up with out today, therefore, let's see what significant happened...

Let's start with the weather conditions, extremely variable on this day, this morning was marked by a strong wind, I went up, for personal reasons, to nearby San Marino, even up there, at several hundred meters above sea level, the situation it was even worse than the one I had in my city, the trees bent badly under the action of a storm which actually created the conditions for not abundant rainfall but which in isolation affected our area a lot, but the most meaning was another...

This afternoon, finally, after a long wait, made up of checks, visits, small operations, two molar teeth were implanted in me, it is not a new fact for me, unfortunately, as I already had the 1st implant ever. way back in 1994, 30 years ago, essentially those first 5 teeth lasted longer than expected, as the expected average duration of that type of dental intervention is around 10 years...

It is the 1st of the 2 operations to which I will have to undergo, which is successfully completed, this evening after some time I finally had the sensation of having a certain dental compactness, the left side of my mouth is full, teeth above and below, for effective chewing again, in about forty days I will start with the 2nd operation, that of the right side of the mouth, new cuts, new anaesthesia, new stitches, new discomfort, but sooner or later I will get to the point even in this 2nd case, and the entire completion will take place just before next summer, because the timescale is quite long, the dentist is scrupulous, because for the completion of the work you have to wait at least 6 months, from the date of the initial intervention, for everything, for all this movement in my mouth, I only have to thank my parents, who took care of all the expenses, I wouldn't have been able to meet even this need of mine, my mother told me that it will probably be the last great gift that you can give me, it is absolutely not a gift of little importance, because it has restored luster and firmness to my mouth...

Arrivo a redigere questo mio resoconto quotidiano in un orario (mi riferisco all'ora italiana) piuttosto alto, mezzanotte non è molto distante, vorrei riuscire a finire questo post entro quell'ora, adesso provo a mettermi dietro, per vedere cosa riuscirò a tirare fuori quest'oggi, dunque, vediamo cosa è accaduto di rilevante...

Iniziamo dalle condizioni meteo, estremamente variabili in questa giornata, questa mattina è stata segnata da un vento forte, sono salito, per questioni personali, nella vicina San Marino, addirittura lassù, a diverse centinaia di metri di altitudine sul livello del mare, la situazione era ancora peggio rispetto a quella che avevo nella mia città, gli alberi si flettevano di brutto sotto l'azione di una burrasca che effettivamente ha creato i presupposti per precipitazioni non abbondanti ma che isolatamente ha battuto parecchio la nostra zona, ma l'evento più significato è stato un altro...

Oggi pomeriggio, finalmente, dopo una lunga attesa, fatta di controlli, di visite, di piccoli interventi, mi sono stati impiantati due denti molari, non è per me un fatto nuovo, purtroppo, in quanto già il 1° impianto in assoluto lo feci nel lontano 1994, ben 30 anni fa, sostanzialmente quei primi 5 denti durarono più del previsto, in quanto l'aspettativa della durata media di quella tipologia di interventi dentari è di circa 10 anni...

E' il 1°, dei 2 interventi a cui mi dovrò sottoporre, che viene portato a termine con successo, questa sera dopo diverso tempo finalmente ho avuto la sensazione di avere una certa compattezza dentale, la parte sinistra della mia bocca è piena, denti sopra e sotto, per una masticazione nuovamente efficace, tra una quarantina di giorni partirò con il 2° intervento, quello della parte destra della bocca, nuovi tagli, nuove anestesie, nuovi punti, nuovi fastidi, ma prima o poi arriverò al dunque anche in questo 2° caso, e il completamento del tutto avverrà poco prima della prossima estate, perché la tempistica è piuttosto lunga, il dentista è scrupoloso, perché per l'ultimazione dei lavori si devono aspettare almeno 6 mesi, dalla data dell'intervento iniziale, per tutto quanto, per tutto questo movimento in bocca, devo unicamente ringraziare i miei genitori, che si sono fatti carico di tutte le spese, non avrei potuto far fronte anche a questa mia necessità, mia madre mi ha detto che probabilmente sarà l'ultimo grosso regalo che potrà farmi, non è assolutamente un omaggio di scarsa rilevanza, perché ha ridato smalto e compattezza alla mia bocca...
