Scorpion - Macro Photography

Some years back while I was working in the farm, I stumbled upon this creature resting on a rock. This animal is one of those creatures with strong venom. It is a scorpion and one thought that came to my mind then was that it was looking out for a prey to feast on.

It lay flat on the concrete under the hot sun with just a small portion of leaves covering it. Its eyes were glittering waiting for any animal it could capture to show up.

Surprisingly, a millipede came around, yet, it was still static, the millipede climbed on it body and passed, yet, it didn't move. I had to conclude it wasn't in the mood to capture any creature. Or perhaps, that's not what it was after.
