Ciao a tutti amici e amiche di Italy e di Steemit.

In questi giorni è uscita la notizia che la SEC ha approvato un progetto pilota del Nasdaq per il trading di asset tokenizzati. (Rif.)

Questo significa che strumenti finanziari tradizionali come le azioni potrebbero essere rappresentati come token su infrastruttura blockchain.

A prima vista sembra una vittoria enorme per il mondo crypto… ma io ho qualche dubbio.

Qui non stiamo parlando della decentralizzazione che conosciamo.
Non è il modello libero, aperto e senza permessi che ha reso speciale questo settore.
È qualcosa di diverso: un sistema che usa la tecnologia blockchain, ma resta dentro regole, controlli e intermediari.
In pratica, la finanza tradizionale sta semplicemente inglobando il settore crypto.

E questa cosa mi fa riflettere parecchio, perché da un lato è chiaro che ci siano dei vantaggi: tutto potrebbe diventare più veloce, più efficiente, forse anche più accessibile.
Dall’altro lato però il rischio è alto: più controllo, più tracciamento e, alla fine, gli stessi attori di sempre con una tecnologia nuova in mano.

Quello che sta emergendo, almeno secondo la mia opinione, è una specie di divisione sempre più netta.
Da una parte un sistema tokenizzato, regolato, facile da usare e perfettamente integrato con banche e istituzioni. Dall’altra il mondo crypto “vero”, quello più scomodo ma anche più libero, fatto di self-custody e meno compromessi.

Sempre finché ci lasceranno continuare ad usare la DeFi...

Comunque più vedo muoversi queste dinamiche, più mi sembra evidente perché sia nato Bitcoin, per essere la vera alternativa.

Non la vedo come una cosa totalmente negativa. Saranno due sistemi che convivranno.
La maggior parte delle persone sceglierà i sistemi regolati, chi invece dà più valore alla libertà continuerà a muoversi nel mondo decentralizzato.

La vera domanda, alla fine, non è tanto chi vincerà, ma quanto saremo consapevoli delle differenze tra queste due direzioni. Perché da fuori possono sembrare simili… ma sotto sono due visioni completamente diverse.

Vale sempre la regola: non le tue chiavi, non i tuoi soldi!

In recent days, news came out that the SEC has approved a pilot project by the Nasdaq for trading tokenized assets. (Ref.)

This means that traditional financial instruments like stocks could be represented as tokens on blockchain infrastructure.

At first glance, this looks like a huge win for the crypto space… but I have a few doubts.

We’re not talking about the decentralization we know.
This is not the open, permissionless model that made this space special.
It’s something different: a system that uses blockchain technology, but still operates within rules, controls, and intermediaries.
In practice, traditional finance is simply absorbing the crypto sector.

And this really makes me think, because on one side the advantages are clear: things could become faster, more efficient, maybe even more accessible.
On the other side, the risk is just as clear: more control, more tracking, and in the end, the same players as always with a new technology in their hands.

What seems to be emerging, at least in my opinion, is an increasingly clear split.
On one side, a tokenized system that is regulated, easy to use, and fully integrated with banks and institutions.
On the other, the “real” crypto world - less convenient, but also freer, built on self-custody and fewer compromises.

At least as long as they allow us to keep using DeFi...

The more I watch these dynamics unfold, the more it becomes clear to me why Bitcoin was created: to be the real alternative.

I don’t see this as something entirely negative. It feels more like two systems that will coexist.
Most people will choose regulated systems, while those who value freedom more will continue moving within the decentralized world.

In the end, the real question isn’t who will win, but how aware we are of the differences between these two directions.
Because from the outside they may look similar… but underneath, they are two completely different visions.
