His grandmother told him to stop picking up shells because it was simply too much already lol. Well he used his shells for decoration and they are right now placed on top of his bookshelf.
Here they make necklaces out of the small ones, trays, decorate frames and even make little creatures and statues out of shells.

That's va great start and you should add some sand from the beaches you are visiting (and stones) as well. You can go for colour, shape and make still life souvenirs in jars and bottles. A personal reminder of good times together.
