It is sad to see a person fade away. Your father has reached an enviable age – now it seems to be enough. Has anyone asked him where and how he would most like to spend the rest of his life? I would not want to be cared for by relatives, for example... You can be there for each other in every possible way. All the best!
Although we can now speak of senile dementia as one of the various pathologies my father suffers from, in one of his rare moments of daily lucidity just yesterday he said that he wants to go to the hospital after he dies, so he wants to finish living at home...
