In my country, it is common to see the apamate tree. It can be said that it is an emblematic tree with a beautiful pink colour that embellishes the landscape. I love its beautiful flowers because it is my favourite colour. We are currently in the flowering season, which lasts from February to April, when you can observe its beauty.

This week I went to the city centre and while driving I couldn't help but admire this apamate tree by the roadside, so I stopped my car and took a photograph of it.

In my country, there are only two seasons: summer and winter. However, most of the time it is summer, even in winter. Here, it rains and then the sun comes out again, so practically the whole year is summer, even when it rains.

Three weeks later, on Sunday, I had to go to the city centre again, and when I passed by the apamate tree, its flowers had already fallen. There I could see some of them, but their beauty had faded. Some grandmothers say that this tree has medicinal properties, although it is more commonly used for ornamental purposes.
