Deadly Small Predator "Salticidae"
Spiders are insects that are can found everywhere. There are more than 6000 species of spiders in the world and 13 percent of them are Salticidae or jumping spiders. Salticidae life is very different from ordinary spiders, Salticidae have a small and cute body shape, jumping spiders are also almost impossible to build webs other than those used in reproductive activities. When hunting for prey, jumping spiders also do not build webs but use their silk for tethering which can make it easier for them to reach difficult-to-reach prey.

Salticidae have special characteristics that ordinary spiders do not have, all jumping spiders have four pairs of eyes. One pair of eyes that are noticeably biger is typically the anterior median eye of the jumping spider. The big anterior eyes provide very clear three-dimensional vision, making it very easy to estimate range and direction which makes it easier to direct jumps when hunting prey. And the four eyes in the back row are used for lateral vision.

This time I want to show a jumping spider which I think is very exclusive, I got a picture of a Salticidae while hunting prey. Salticidae seem to easily catch insects that look bigger than their bodies. Means Salticidae including deadly predatory insects. In hunting the jumping spider do it in reverse of the rules that should be.
Salticidae are very consistent with their highly developed visual system. In hunting there is an aspect that is very surprising, the Salticidae do not always follow a straight path. Sometimes they follow detours that pass through areas where prey cannot see. Such behavior seems to be a mystery that is difficult to solve even for entomologists. Hopefully useful and thanks for visiting my blog.
