Digital painting has been my salvation in these times when I do not have the freedom to go out and buy and choose art materials for myself. Right now, as some of you know, the epicenter of the pandemic is in Latin America, so we have to be cautious.

La pintura digital ha sido para mi la salvación en estos tiempos en que no tengo la libertad de salir a comprar y elegir por mi misma los materiales de arte. En este momento, como algunos de ustedes saben, el epicentro de la pandemia se encuentra en Latinoamérica, así que nos toca ser precavidos.

I say that it has been my salvation because as an artist I am curious to try new media and new styles. A few days ago I succumbed to the temptation, and decided to buy materials online in one of the most famous stores in my city. The result was a disaster: the materials came dry, they did not send me what I asked for, the size of the brushes was not the chosen, and they were missing some even when it was already paid. Those two days were chaos.

Digo que ha sido mi salvación porque como artista tengo la curiosidad de probar nuevos medios y nuevos estilos. Hace unos días sucumbí ante la tentación, y decidí comprar por internet materiales en una de las tiendas más famosas de mi ciudad. El resultado fue un desastre: los materiales vinieron secos, no me enviaron lo que pedí, la medida de los pinceles no era la elegida, y faltaron alguno aun cuando ya estaba pago. Esos dos días fueron un caos.

After all, I received the paintings, not of the requested quality, for which they tried to give me a kind of reward through a gift, which was also not of the quality I had purchased.

Después de todo, recibí las pinturas, no de la calidad solicitada, por la cual intentaron darme una especie de recompensa a través de un regalo, que tampoco tenía la calidad que había comprado.

All this now lies in my drawer, waiting for the disappointment to pass to start painting. However, thanks to the digital art for never disappointing me.

Todo esto yace ahora en mi gaveta, esperando que pase la decepción para empezar a pintar. Sin embargo, gracias al arte digital por no decepcionarme nunca.
