Christmas Frosts

Greetings friends.
The seventh day of January. Today is Orthodox Christmas. The New Year and Christmas holidays are continuing in Russia. But this year I don't see any fun on our streets. The children stay at home. This was due to the fact that at the beginning of January there were big frosts, which are called Christmas frosts. I can say that such frosts are common in our area and even in my memory the temperature dropped below -50. But that was in childhood.
At the beginning of the century, when my daughter was in the first grade, there were frosts of -45 degrees.
And it seemed to me like a normal thing. There is such a thought - winter should be cold so that summer becomes hot. But now I see that this rule does not work and the cold winter brings only problems.
I mean, I don't want winter to be cold. When I tell this to people I know, many people say that I am wrong. They say they want a cold winter. I give them arguments about the problems of frost and they agree with me, but then they say that winter should still be cold.

Вот эта девочка не боится морозов. Она хочет гулять при любой погоде. Но вчера и позавчера я отменил эти прогулки. Сильный северный ветер при температуре -32 градуса не очень располагают к прогулке.
Сегодня к вечеру ветер сбавил свою силу. Я вижу, что дымовые хвосты из дымоходов поменяли своё направление и потянулись в сторону севера, значит ветер начал дуть с юга.
Но самое главное, из-за чего я не ходил гулять в прошедшие 2 дня, я просто не спал по ночам. Одну ночь я просидел с сыном и смотрели телевизор, а сегодня ночью я ухаживал за женой. 2 дня назад она заболела - поднялась температура, слезятся глаза и из носа течет, кости ломит. Это вирус. Завтра утром она собирается идти на работу. Это уже другая болезнь - она не может сказать руководству, что у неё проблема со здоровьем.

Cats now prefer to stay at home and not show their noses outside. It's cold! In summer, Hinata's cat was sometimes away from home for several days, she preferred to live in the garden and even went for a walk outside the fence into the forest.
There is one day of rest left. Workdays begin on January 9. Almost 10 days flew by like 1 day. But I'm not sad about it. Everything is going on as usual!
