RE: The Future of Steem: Community Building is a Complicated Business!

in WORLD OF XPILAR5 years ago

I am happy to read your writing @denmarkguy

The first social media I knew was Facebook in 2007, Facebook was very popular, I could communicate with other people and also share information, but I have not been very active on Facebook since 2014 because I felt that there was nothing interesting there. but i use facebook if there is something useful for me. like I did a steem ad there.

Regarding the community, building a community is very easy, but the challenge is how we manage and maintain people in the community.

sir @ stemmcurator I agree we will see the future growth of Steem.

But I have a little advice for a system to create a community on Steemit. Since I returned to being active, I saw so many communities on Steemit, some were large and some were also inactive and strangely enough, there were several communities with the same country community name.

it makes new users who join confused where to go, and if this continues and many communities of the same country are created. how do we keep them in the future? and how you will give them a fair vote in the future

I'm talking about state communities, not communities that are creative and have their own themes

Good point @arie.steem; perhaps one of the things that really needs to be addressed is a redesign of the Steemit user interface... it was designed and remains mostly unchanged since long before there were communities. If the future of Steemit is going to be communities, then the UX needs to be heavily invested in making both the navigation and community discovery process easier for those who are not familiar with the workings of the site.

Agree regarding country communities but we cannot prevent people from setting up new communities as they want.

We would like to see people working together in each country.

Ideally the Country Reps and the Promo Steem teams in each country can all come together in one unified country community.

Thank you

Ideally the Country Reps and the Promo Steem teams in each country can all come together in one unified country community.

That is indeed my hope and I have also applied it to PromoSteem, an example that I can give for you as I am close to Anroja and El-Nailul and have worked together on the promosteem agenda at school.

the promoter ghana - mcsamm and nattybongo also works with steem ghana

philippine promoter - julstamban which also works with steemit philipine.

My target is definitely to have a lot of teams and many promoters from each country, however, I also have to see their track record and their activeness in contributing.

In the next few days, we will be publishing several new promoters from other countries.

thank you for your help so far
