A strong-willed decision.
A strong-willed decision.
What we call a strong-willed decision is a modest derivative of heroism, even when we're not saving a drowning puppy who fell through a hole in the ice, or something else entirely.
It can be a difficult decision that should provide us with something pleasant, something we've been looking forward to for a long time. For example, we dreamed of swimming in the sea, and we do so despite some irritating factors, such as a storm at sea or the presence of a huge number of jellyfish.
Every time I go mushroom picking in the forest, I'm faced with a strong-willed decision: either wear uncomfortable rubber boots or wear more comfortable shoes, but risk getting my feet wet and ruining those same shoes.
Not to mention taking a cold shower on a hot day, or jumping into the snow after a sauna—for a conscious person, unaffected by any flammable liquids, this is true heroism! :)
