Justified surprise.

Surprise comes in many forms. Sometimes it's caused by something incredible, and sometimes it's caused by something very simple, bordering on ignorance, like surprise that hiding two two-dollar bills in your pockets doesn't give you more than four bucks.

I don't know, maybe my surprise bordered on ignorance, lol, but I was very surprised.

And what surprised me was that you can graft a pear branch onto a hawthorn bush and end up with fruit.

Experimenters who have done this say it doesn't affect the pear's taste.

I wonder if stone fruits, like plums, can also be grafted onto hawthorn. I'll have to do some research.
